Switching 5x5 to 3x8

Greetings. Been on 5x5 for about 5 months.

The Big Three in addition to the Pendlay and press.

2.5 increases every workout (will stop working soon).

48 hour rest.

So now what part of this will differ if I switch to 3x8? And how much should I lower the weight?

Hey bro I would take a complete week off and then move on to the 3x8.
Then I would come back at 20-25% reduced from your last 5x5 poundages. That way you will be able to continue to improve. I know it sounds like a lot but keep in mind that you are keep on going right past you 5x5 maxes.

Thanks heaps.

20% from my last 5x5? Remember my last 5x5 wasn't my max. I deloaded because I stalled. Deloaded 20.

So, should I just reduce 20% from 5 rep max?

And do my increases stay the same? 2.25 kilos?
