Is too much TUNA bad for your health????

salmon, halibut, sardines, albacore, trout, herring, walnut, flaxseed oil, and canola oil. Other foods that contain omega-3-fatty acids include shrimp, clams, light chunk tuna, catfish, crawfish, crab, lobster, cod, and spinach.

Thats pretty much the list bro. Would you like a recipe with one of them in it.
Also bro There is still 5000 different ways to use salmon that I am sure you have not thought of yet... People just need to learn how to cook and the rest is easy after that.

Just adding flax oil to some of your meals can give you the omegas you need
also I think people should look into adding Wheat germ into there diets to get
the omegas they need as well as protein. read up on why wheat germ is so good to use http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-wheat-germ.htm
or even adding wheatgerm oil to foods or cooking with it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheat_germ_oil

I have a few good recipes using wheat germ that taste fucking great and are easy to make.
Thank you, im a cookin son of a bitch but im sick of fish..so thank you, wheat germ is somthing diff !!!!!!!!!!!! OH, spinich too !

i take my flaxseed oil before i go to bed everynite .. on top of any fish i eat during the day .. omegas rock

Actually the light tuna has less mercury than the chunk white tuna. White tuna comes from older, larger fish that have a greater chance of absorbing the heavy metals. so you are better off going with the cheaper tuna.

I was just about to say that but saw that you posted and figured you already did.

If anyone is concerned, get a mercury test.

I had one (because I wondered whether my headache condition could be mercury induced), and despite extreme tuna consumption for many years, I was 5 times below the level of concern.

I think the mercury fear campaign is total b.s., much more so than the anti-milk campaign (I guess the bodybuilder community is known for its anti campaigns, namely against milk, fruit, soy, carbs, gluten, etc, but this one is the most unjustified)

In any event, the selenium in tuna is an anti-oxidant - may to some extent nullify the "mercury" contained in it, as perhaps the 03 (I actually wondered whether my headaches could be selenium toxicity, but again no).

Also, I think it is quite possible that Salmon (and comparable fatty fish) is the healthiest thing that someone can add to their diet. The benefits for omega 3's have more scientific verification than any other nutrient. Given the obsession with peanut butter and other nuts of the board, even many people with healthy diets here have poor 03/06 ratios, and a daily dosage of salmon is a great way of improving this, given the increasing evidence that inflammation causes long term health effects. Moreover (and the study is on wikipedia somewhere), when they compare diets, people who eat fish live the longest.

Eat your fish!

(I probably eat tuna less often now, simply because I discovered that I loved canned Salmon - and eat that daily - and realised how cheap and lean kangaroo is in Aus, not to mention kangaroo having a similar nutritional profile to Beef without the fat)

even cheaper when you have a tonne of land in the country where their running around in plague proportions.

5-10kgs of roo meat costs about $1.10 and an hour or 2 of labour :)
