Don't give up Jens... You will see the bulk of your changes the last week.. I didn't believe it either but YEP.. thats when all the pieces of the puzzle fit together.

The loose skin thing too all comes together as well.

I kept asking my trainer when I should see this or that happen and frankly he wouldn't tell me because he couldnt' until I was at a certain point.

There really is no exact answer as to when this or that happens. If it does, great, if it doesn't, guess what - no one is the same as you and as with any of this diet & training stuff - there's is no canned solution. There are general rules of thumb and a lot of dialing in as you learn how your particular body, mind & lifestyle respond.

But the worst thing you can do is let the moment by moment frustrations blur the goal. Its the hardest thing to do, but its the most important thing. The only time any of it matters at all is for that cumulative 10 min or so on stage on that day. Then it doesnt' matter again and you are back on the calendar for whatever is the next thing.
 
Jen, Pre-contest time is like lots of changes every day... one day you'll look flat, others toned... take into account that even though we are under diet, we are also holding water... which at its due time will be eliminated. You have been doing such a great job, I've been reading your competition log and I think you are very focused. Have you been sleeping well?

Some nights, yes........some, no......last nite was a no! ;)

It happens to me that when I don't get a good sleep I look flat, shapeless, holding tons of water, without any muscle as you say like a "bag of loose skin".

It usually takes two to three days to recover and get back to track considering that I sleep well the following nights... because with the pre-contest diet, training, stress... we need to really get good night sleep.
