Pull ups- assisted

Hey Britts, for some reason it seems that most of the time these "assisted" machines actually retard strength and growth. Possibly try doing megative only pull ups untill you can get to a reg pullup. Or do as much of a pullup as you can and then do reps of that. Like if you can a half pullup then do reps of half pullups. As you do these then each time you come back to this workout really work on getting closer to a full pullup.
If you do the negatives, then you really really have to fight that going down to get the bene from them. I mean fight every inch of it chika.
Actually by doing either of theses or a combo of them you will get to a full pull up in not time at all.

Zed that is a great idea!! No wonder everyone loves you!! ;-) I have dreamed of the day I could do a pull up all by myself, and now with your help my friend I will be able to accomplish another one of my goals!! I will start trying 2 sets of each negative and half and see how it goes!! I will post up about these on Wednesday since that is my next back and bicep day. Again thanks so much Zed!!

Okay everyone a question for yall! How many calories do you think I should be consuming? I'm 5'5" 175lbs. This is normally what I eat. My only issue is I am going over the calories daily I'm trying to stay between 1400-1500. Is this a big deal? I have yet to see any weight drop as of yet. I am trying to get to about 150 so that is about 25lbs. Please let me know what yall think and any help would be loved!!!!

6am- Breakfast
16oz. coffee with creamer(low fat)
1 banana
2 slices of sprouted whole grain bread
1 4oz. Non fat yogurt

9am- Snack
1 large apple

11am- Lunch
2 grilled chicken breast
1 large sweet potato(plain yumm!!!!!)

3pm- Snack
1.5 scoops of protein powder

5pm
1 serving of almonds

8pm- Dinner
2 grilled chicken breast
1 bag steamed brussle sprouts

Totals:
1703 calories
25 fat
207 carbs
36 fiber
168 protein
