Im a senior in college and I understand where youre coming from BUT on the other hand, I think that what ever your goals are and where you want to be physically is up to you. We all know that alcohol is full of sugar and many many many toxins, however....if you wish to drink and slow your progress and ruin your health *thats up to you*. I guess a drink once in a while is ok, but I know a lot of people who started with the occasional drink and now drink all the time. I also have never in my life seen anything good come out of drinking alcohol...only bad things. Thats why I dont do it :)
 
Is getting laid a bad thing? just kidding. I know how stupid it is. But if i dont just relax every ounce in awhile and let go I would be a asshole. Its all about balance. If all i did was eat right and workout I wouldnt have a life worth enjoying. For some people they can...just not me. And no I am not saying like is not worth living if you have a drink... just let go in general.
 
Well i drank this weekend.......Didnt get to shitty, instead of beer i just sipped on a bottle of Jager......Next weekend is gonna be a problem....its my 21st bday....so saturday night its on......I think after that i am gonna chill....I am really getting sick of the party scene, people are just so dumb, and it has pretty much ended my relationship with my girlfriend. But next weekend, i know im getting wasted....After that im gonna chill. I am starting to see the changes in my body, and i love it. And im even more excited to see what happens when i stop drinking. Thanks for the advice bros.

Eitherway, binge drinking isn't good for you. But to be honest, it's all your genetics. If you're just going for looks, I know some friends who can drink all weekend, yet they still have a six pack and big arms.

Then again, even the good looking drunks have internal health problems going on.

EDIT: Actually, the worst side effect of drinking isn't from the alcohol... it's from the beer munchies and those delicious wings at the bar!

Exactly. I had to give up drinking completely because when i drink, and i only drink whiskey, or vodka, after about 2-3 drunks i get HUGE cravings and can't control myself.

If i have enough to drink where i feel the least bit hung over the next day, forget it, i binge on food and have absolutely NO will power to control my eating habits.

I remember one time, i wasn't even hung over that bad, and i guess it was from being in ketosis for 2 weeks already, my body was depleted, so I craved to get rehydrated via any kind of carbs. I hate a seafood casserole with 2 bread sticks, salad, and an extra plate of rice. Then an hour later 2 red velvet cakes, then pumpkin pie, then i ate at a buffet, you know the rest....

I think i gained literally like 11 lbs from one day to the next, probably mostly water, but still.
