sodium problems with high protein diet

I eat alot of meats.Smaller meals every 2-3 hrs, water+milk only.
I dont add salt when cooking, but I can help notice I am getting alot! of sodium. It seems all meat and most foods I buy have high amounts of sodium.
I am talking near 3-4000 mgs sodium a day. I eat healthy,or so I think, and I cant find a good source of protein in meat that doesnt have high sodium. Anyway to counter this problem other than hoarding more water?

Stop bying meat packaged in salt. Most steak, for example, that you buy at the store has betwen 160 and 320 mg of sodium per ibs. By high protien, I'm assuming that you mean 400-500 grams or more. 4 ibs of steak shoould have, on average, about 800 mg. Veggies and whole grains should have none. If you are taking in 3000 mg of sodium a day, you are eating too much refined garbage, or entirely too much sausage with spices and salt added to it.
