Going Hypo While Doing Cardio (Roughly 50 Minutes Into It)

Hi guys,

I've always been a bit of a reader on this forum and have learnt a lot from many of you.

Prior to a 3 yr break from the gym due to long hours of work (14 hrs plus each day), I had previously bagged 5 yrs of gym training.

So in June 2015, I've officially reached 210lbs, I'm 5 foot 7, so I pretty much got out of control over the three years with my food. I decided to go back to the gym to do a cutter, and I will also have a wedding shoot in about 2 weeks time and will be going on vacation with sun and beach in about 6 weeks.

Over the 5 months, I have dropped to 170lbs, right now standing at around 12% bf hoping to cut all the way down to around 8% by the time I'm on vocation.

However, this isn't the first time I crashed with hypo, a month ago I already reached 170lbs, and when i hit this weight, everytime when I do any cardio, by the 45th to 50th minute, I would be hit with hypo (dizzy, cold sweats, sickness, and in severe cases even vomit and diarrhea). when I had that a month ago, I kinda crashed with my diet craving a lot of carbs and sugars, over the month I put back on 10lbs (a lot of it was water though since i kept my gym routines). I'm official back on my diet again cutting out the high carbs and sugars, however, just as I hit back 170lbs again, hypo is coming back again yesterday.

Is this related to my blood sugar levels? but whenever I weighed more than 170lbs, I was find doing cardio even up to 1 hour 45 minutes. SHould I be taking some form of carbs before I train so that I won't crash with hypo?

Thanks guys and gals!

You say that you still aren't at your target weight and are still carrying some fat, so your body should have kicked into a fat burning for mode, for energy, after doing that much aerobics. Getting low on sugar is what gets you in that mode. Obviously something's not right, sounds to me like blood work while doing the treadmill needs to be looked at.

Sorry, been a bit of a hectic weekend.

Yeah, this only mainly happens when i hit around 73kg - 72kg in body weight, and it's never happened before, only this time round during this cutter. Mind you my carbs consumption is mainly in my breakfast.

Anyway, that day when I posted this, I changed things around and had dinner before I trained, so I added a bowl of rice to my dinner, and it turned out that I didn't go hypo during my cardio. So I guess it's blood sugar related, I'll try and change things around so that I'll be adding a bit of carbs before I train.

Thank you Bobaroman!
