bloateed and constipated...HELP!!

Hey gals
I am way bloated and costipated up for about the last 3 weeks. I took laxatives about 10 days ago for a few days and that temporarily worked .,but what now? I'm all stopped up again,,and my stomach feels funny.
Yes my diet is mostly protein with the exception of fiberous carbs, and good fats.

I eat about 1200 cals a day divided in5 small meals.

any suggestions??
 
Im sorry but i have to laugh a little!! its just that ur post sounds like a medical dilema and not about fitness at all... kinda struck me as a surprise thats all... well anyway..try supplementing with some fiber pills or something...drink some prune juice...eat more green veggies... geeeeez..i dont know... good luck!! :D
 
If you are eating lots of broccoli you might want to change out for some other vegies.... protein & broccoli can take its toll...(not fond memories of contest prep...)

Lots of water is good, dandelion root is a good natural diuretic (in taraxatone) and I've found spirulina to be just good all around for cleaning out the system not quite like fiber, but its good for you!)
 
DRINK A LOT OF WATER...

Colace....

Metamucil (or the store brand equivalent will do)...just mix a teaspoon into your whey shake before bed and you'll be REAL happy the next morning....I guarantee it.

PS - why may I ask are you only taking in 1200 cal p/day? You aren't a small bird or anything are you? Geeze, that is hardly enough to keep EVEN A BIRD ALIVE!

I have in the past tried metemucil chews taking in about 40 grams of fiber per day( did that for a week , I think that made it worse)
I have been releived for the past two days, but I don't think that was everything.. I feel and look very bloated.

I drink 1 gallon of water a day ( at least!)
Yes I do use protein shakes, mostly whey protein. My protein intake is around 150-200 grams a day.

any other reccomendations???
 
No creatine or Hmb, I have been using L-glutamine and started about a week ago udos wholesome food blend, which seems to helping a little . But thats about it as far as supplements with the exception of protein powders and premade zero carb Isopure drinks.

i really cannot think of anything I have done differntly to bring this on. This has taught me to be more aware of making sure I get in enough fiber. Before I was just protein and little bit a carb. now I don't worry about fiberous carbs and make sure I get enough.
