Guys,
i was reviewing a few of the old threads on cutting and fat burners etc and then had a look at my food log over the last few months (i'm week 12 of cutting, low carb 5 days a week <100g with re-feeding saturday and sunday 250-350g) and it became fairly obvious that the number one reason for me to break my daily cal allowance was evening munchies......
During the day with work and after training i can control my appetite. I keep full on water and using casein to bolster my protein intake.
When 6 o'clock rolls round I have dinner - my 6th meal of the day, usually chicken and greens or white fish. Before bed at 10 I'll have 50g protein shake, no carbs, just water. Between 6-10 I get some insane carb cravings.....sometimes i'll chow down 2 weetabix bars with a drop of milk or have some greek yogurt but its damn near impossible sometimes to satisfy the urge. Taste buds start getting twitchy. Even talking about now is making me hungry. If it happened earlier in the day I'd probably feel happier to break the diet and have half a bagel.....but after 6, carbs?
Does anyone else find this time particularly tricky? If so have you come up with any solutions, and foods that hit the spot but don't send your macros way off?
