Well, eat it is...how long before a workout should you eat? An hour before or more?
Isn't it possible to become dizzy from being dehydrated too? Also not warming up properly?

I used to just walk right in & start lifting... now I bike or walk (very low intensity) for just 5 minutes.. makes me feel like the blood is flowing, joints lubricated, etc.

Personally, if I'm doing cardio, I don't like any food for at least an hour before. Just lifting, I could have a small snack 30 min before & be OK (like 1/2 a protein bar of a piece of bread).

Don't expect to eat an hour before a workout and have ample muscle glycogen to support a hard workout. If you lift late in the day, you can rely on the fuel you have taken in throughout the day. If you lift early in the day, you may have to rely on what you ate the evening before to support the workout.

Your fuel is very important as you know. You would not make a 1000 mile trip without filling up with gas, so why expect your body to do any different without stalling?

I only speak from experience as it was way embarrassing the day I collapsed in the gym after a HEAVY leg/cardio workout when I did not fuel up (my low carb day).

Just my .02!!

it looks like hypoglycemia

some more carbs the day before (to replenish your glycogen)
and some food (not high GI though) during workout may help for intensive working days

Damn , i got alot to learn lol
I've never really paid that much attention to what i ate the nite before, but i usually train in the evenings tho so i guess i don't notice it that much !
