Thought I would relate the log of a pristine (as in no "supplements" lab rat). Well, it does take creatine, and vitamins, but that's it. No anabolic enhancements of any kind. Just an average lab rat who will keep logs of its bench press in order to facilitate the effectiveness of Ostarine SARMs from a well known provider of research chemicals that you can SEARCH for on the Internet.
Anyway, today was the first lift day for this animal after beginning the SARMs usage which began two days prior on July 9th at 12.5mg/day. Its specifics are as follows and taken today. Yes, it knows that's a lower dosage, but this lab rat is not a body builder and wants to see if this amount is effective for strength enhancement.
The cycle planned is 12.5mg/day for 30 days followed by 21 days off then another 30 day cycle at the same dosage provided some increase in strength is observed. If not, the dosage will be increased to 25mg/day, but for now, 12.5mg/day it is.
Height: 6'2"
Weight 225
Age 45
Injuries of note: Minor tendonitis in left elbow. Minor to moderate rotator pain in right shoulder when performing certain lifts (which is avoided). Note ancillary lifts have started three weeks ago to help alleviate this condition (those designed to strengthen accessory muscles in the shoulder). These will afford us the ability to see if the product is effective in helping these maladies as well.
This lab rat tends to like reverse pyramids with the heavy lift coming first after a solid warmup. All lifts are until failure, unassisted, and are pauses (no touch and go, no bouncing, etc.) to get a more consistent and accurate measure of any possible increase in strength over the cycle.
LIFT DAY 1
Set 1: 335x3
Set 2: 315x5
(other ancillary lifts follow like declines, flies, etc. but only the first two "heavy" lifts are being recorded)
This is SLIGHTLY weaker than this lab rat normally does and may be attributed to the short week (holiday on the 4th so the last heavy bench day was only 6 days ago instead of the normal 7).
Triceps work, which is normally avoided due to the tendonitis, was also incorporated at the end of the routine since no pain was experienced after the benching.
