Just thought I would add for you ladies, usually when my ladie and I are training for show and have bad cravings, it is your body wanting fat. salt free peanuts in the shell always settle it for us. It is a good source of fat that will suppress that internal craving for fat, but like anything else have them in moderation....

Hmmm, interesting..... hopefully I'll remember that next time I'm craving chocolate.....

OOH!! Chocolate covered peanuts??

i cant control myself around peanuts.

I binge on peanuts and fiber one. I cant have them in the house, my husband keeps them (peanuts) in his truck and im allowed one measured oz. a day.

as for fiber one, i cant have it in the house, first i carefully measure out 1/2 cup, and 1/2 cup skim, then after i eat it, im like" mmmmmmm..... that would we so good w/ strawberries" then after that, im like, "oooh, what about yougurt?" then after that im eating it out of the baggie thingie dry with a spoon, and when im done, im sooo frikkin full, and i think about how much cardio i have to do now, and all that FIBER i just ate? Im not gonna be feeling well for a couple of days!

imo- if youre gonna binge, at least you did w/ brownies!!!! not frikkin peanuts and fiber one!

and when i go to the store, i add up all of the $$ i want to spend on stuff i want, and go buy some cute clothes or some shoes. But yea, as far as willpower, i have none. I can easily overeat even healthy food.

hahaha that is so true... when I use to eat Myoplex Light Choc Choc Chip bars, I'd buy them by the dozen and end up dowing like 6 in one serving... I stay away from any and all P Bars unless it's an emergency...  :chomp: :chomp:

ha! last tuesday night i was going to make these really really healthy oatmeal cookies for my husband, and each cookie has like, 30 calories, no sugar, ww flour, ANYWAY

(this convo reminded me of this)

I have the dough(?) in a bowl, and i have some sf applesauce in the fridge right? so im like, oooh, a mock apple cobbler -crisp thingie!

so i put some of the dough in a bowl over applesauce and nuke it, yummy, then im like, i could put vanillia yougurt over that! that would make that taste like ice cream with apple crisp!!! so i did that, by the time my husband got home, all the dough was gone.

this was after i ate my last meal of the day, so i had all my day's calories, PLUS a whole whole whole batch of oatmeal cookies.

yeah. i shoulda just ate real apple crisp for all those calories. at least i woulda used some moderation (probably) hee hee.

i felt guilty, but i always forget about it????? as soon as the water weight goes away.

Girls, we ALL know how that pitfall feels. You've dieted for so long, your results ROCK. You just don't want to ruin it. No, just another day of cardio. Your abs will show tomorrow morning. You love the feel of the burn from the weights. No cheating. None of this. None of that, no msg! no sugar! over and over again...
When you've cheated once for a special occasion and have another craving is one thing.
When you torture yourself for weeks you end up with a binge is another. I learned that lesson well enough to know to eat a *little* bit of that something when I truly crave it. Good diet all week to prove it too. Just do it. You know you won't stop exercising, plus you'll metabolize that stuff in an instant having worked out for as long as you all have.

I personally despise the feeling of guilt. Sweethearts, as corny as I sound right now, try to forgive yourselves right away. Even when you binge. It happens...but you've still done 10x better than someone who doesn't workout or diet. You're allowed to binge once as oppose to everyday, like most of the U.S.

Unless you're a week away from a competition, just eat a tiny bit. If you're dying to have some, you know you body needs it. You'll feel physically/mentally better inside after doing it.

Amen. And there are *less* bad cheaty options. I make this kickass protein chocolate pudding that is almost like cheating except it's protein, so the bod is taken care of too. (package of fat free, sugar free pudding, 1-3 scoops protein powder, 1 3/4 c. water instead of milk, chill) :) l u v i t.

Hmmm interesting. I think I'll try that. Having a major itch for nacho cheese doritos and double choc chip with oooey gooey chuncks of what-the-hell-ever ice cream. Lawdy...

1 3/4 c? I've been trying to make it with proper measurements but it ALWAYS comes out way too thin. So, you're sure 1 3/4c will work for 1 package? I take it somewhere between 3/4c and 1c will work for half?

It's still pretty slushy, but I use egg protein powder too, so that thickens it up some. I wouldnt use less than 1 1/2 c per package or it's too thick and heavy (for me anyway).
