The one I'm about to marry, he was one of my best friends for a couple of years before we hooked up. He was always telling me I needed to lose the crazy, mean, possesive guy. He always said I deserved more. I NEVER even considered that he wanted to be more than friends. He was nice enough to always be a good friend when I was with the possesive jerk. He NEVER flirted or anything. I had NO IDEA he wanted to be more than friends. After I finally dumped the jerk, he told me that he has loved me since he first met me. One of the best things was he EVEN waited for a few months AFTER I was single before he told me how he felt. He said he waited for a little while because he wanted me to be completely over the other guy and because he wanted to know that I really wanted to be with him instead of the rebound sittuation. My brother & his wife dropped a serious shitload of cash on their dream wedding, did a well-researched and very cash-conscious honeymoon (they got a killer deal on a really nice hotel on some island, frequent flier airfare, etc). And when they got home, my brother bought her a blue gemstone ring (don't remember what it was exactly) because he said it was the color of the ocean during their honeymoon and he always wanted to remember that with her.
