Figure I will start a diet log, since my training logs have always helped. Brief situation:
Weight: around 178-180 (will weigh myself tomorrow)
BF: No idea. Estimate around 15-16%
Story: Have had an extruding disc (L5) for about 3 months now. I have turned into a fat shit cause I haven't been training and have been VERY WEAK with eating and sticking to my lifestyle. I have tried dozens of times to get back into it but I keep finding excuses. It's time to nut up and get it done. I am still in the rehabbing stage. Lots of stretching and minimal training (some upper body, limited lower body - all light weight). The good news is that physical aerobic activity makes my back feel great, so I have been doing a lot of cardio in the gym and outside of the gym (basketball, tennis, whatever). I can't run yet and moving on concrete is still a little problem (I shot hoops today for about 20 minutes and had to call it quits). Biking also feels good. I am in the busiest time of the year at work and will basically be on site at the US Open running around like a nut for 4 weeks end of Aug and into Sept. Still, I can't use that as an excuse to eat like shit.
Plan: As much activity as I can get in (biking, tennis, basketball, light jogging, eliptical, seated bike in the gym) to keep the back nice and loose. I will be training 3 days a week. Diet is below:
1 sc protein
1/3 cup Dextrose
1 chix br
1/2 cup rice
2 eggs
1 slice ch
1 sc protein
1.5 sc protein
1 tbs flax
1 chix br
6 flax pills
1.5 sc protein
1 tbs flax
The numbers and the convenience (very key for me) should work. I welcome any suggestions, but I do not plan on changing this plan much. I have learned enough to know that everyone has opinions and ideas and thoughts and I listen to them all, digest, and use what I know my body will react to.
The point of this log is for motivation, cause I have been straight up embarrased with myself lately. I have been weak and have made every excuse in the book (I am injured, work is crazy, stress, whatever). No more. Feel free to berate me if and when I slip.
