here is an example daily dietary intake

1100 gatorade 250
1230 protein/milk 400
230 pepsi 120
230 bean burrito 300
540 bean burrito 300
protein/milk 300
930 ravioli 580
100 twizzler 80
pudding 130

2460 calories. However i weigh about 280 with about 20% bodyfat (according to calipers). plus i bike about 45 minutes a day, do 15 minutes of HIIT every other day, and lift every other day. that adds up to about an extra 900 calories burned a day, leaving me on only about 1560 calories a day when you remove the calories used for exercise. That seems pretty damn low but i am not feeling hungry. Should i force feed myself or just listen to my body and only eat when hungry which is what i currently do. My fear is that i may be slowing my metabolism by having my calories too low, but i'm not really hungry for more.

milk is the only thing i see on there that you can even consider healthy...i hope this is a joke

 :D. Your internet opinions are meaningless and i'm not trying to be 100% clean by any means. This is fine by me.

Milk is healthy? Heh, do your research about milk before you say that again...

Anyway, nord, you would normally multiply your bodyweight by 10 to figure out how many calories to consume for cutting, in your case that's 2800. You're consuming 340 calories under that. Throw in another protein shake. You're not getting enough protein there.

Your calories count is close enough, and honestly if you don't eat that extra 340, that's okay, you just will be more suceptible to losing muscle.

Just try and get at least 200 grams of protein a day. I'd say 280 if you can stomach/afford it or whatever, but if not just make sure you hit 200 (no specific reason, just a solid number and it's close to your bodyweight). You won't be looking at a huge difference if you don't eat those 80 extra grams though, so don't stress over it too much.

Keep up with that cardio, on an empty stomach in the morning if possible. You'll do just fine.

na i didnt really say it was healthy, its the only food that has any nutrition (calcium, some protien etc) for God sakes this guy put in "twizzler, pepsi, and pudding for meals.

When im bulking i get up in the middle of the night for a small meal to keep protien in me. is there any ,merit to doing the same while cutting, to stay away from going into a catabolic state?

I don't think becoming catabolic is as big a deal as many people make it out to be. If you're getting enough protein throughout the day, you should be fine.

A CKD would spare most muscle.

i tried ckd for a while but i think i didnt do something right. i tested with the keto strips and it never showed up with more then "trace" ever, most of the time it was negative. and i followed the cdk worksheet very closly. but i still lost weight.
