Diet and Alcohol!

Ok, so I've been on a High protein, low carb, low cal diet for awhile, and have stopped losing weight... Now, I drink a glass (or two ) of red wine every night. My question is, do you think It might be effecting my diet? Or are those cals/sugar, no biggie?! I'm really wanting to know!

Yeah, I'm def eating too few cals! And I've got tons of water weight going on right now!! Ugh! I'm supposed to stick to the diet, but it's so boring, I get sick of it and nothing sounds good.... So then I convince myself, maybe it's all about portion control!!! sigh. I know, I need to stick to the diet, cuz it works, but how many freeking greenbeans can you eat in a year?!!!!!

The diet I'm supposed to be on everyday.....

B: 1 cup egg beaters, 1/2 cup oatmeal (I HATE OATMEAL)

s: 16oz protein shake

L: 5oz of chicken, turkey, or fish(had to talk my trainer into fish!)and 2 cups of salad

S: another protein shake

D: 6oz of meat, and 1 cup of greenbeans!

Does anybody have any suggestions for variety, cuz I'm dying here!!!!

How much do you weigh, what is your height, and do you know your BF%?

Also, how often do you do cardio/lift weights. If I know all this, I can tell you approx how many cals you should be eating.

Carbs are not bad. If you're training, you need them.

you can replace the greenbeans with just about any other green veggie... at least that will ive you some variety...

replace the oatmeal with any kind of high fiber / carb cereal... I like the Wheat Chex or Cheerios...

alcohol consumtion has been known to raise estrogen levels, but also testosterone levels... conflicting studies as always, but ALOT of variables have been studied. In your case i'd say try cutting back to ONE 4-6 ounce glass...not a huge cup full, don't cheat yourself... then if you're still lacking results, keep the glass for friday night.

As far as your diet: You can post what you eat and the amounts and we'll go over it if you'd like... because you stated what you're "supposed" to eat.

Good job: "the-short-one" ;) helpin' a sista out in need. I tried, i'm too tired right now to do anymore community service, lol.

Ok, Here ya go....

I'm 5'4... and down to 157(thank god!)

Today, I've been cheating, I've been getting over bronchitis, and need comfort food! I know NOT an excuse!!!!!1

Today I had a bagel w/ cream cheese for breakfast

lunch was chicken noodle soup, and a handful of cheese its
Dinner... george forman fried Whiting fish / a cup of Broccoli.....

No snacks at all.. No protein shakes.... sigh....

oi! Thanks, man. :D

Good point, BTW - I missed the "what I'm supposed to be eating".

You need to enter all your foods into www.fitday.com. If you're really serious about this, but the home pc version. It way out performs the online one. This way, you'll know your macros (protein/carbs/fat ratio).

The most successful ratio I've seen in terms of fat loss for women is a 40/30/30. (40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat) .

Take your weight and times it by 10. These are the number of calories you need to eat each day, MINIMUM. If this number is below 1200, eat at least 1200. Most people lose fat easily at 12 x their current weight. It all depends on how dedicated you are to training.
