First off -- congrats on a safe & healthy operation :) The results look fantastic - its funny because I"m at least 6 " taller than you & mine were 425 & 475 cc. Interesting how different people "wear" the same thing.

I"m particularly happy to see that the whole procedure is soooooooooo much faster, simpler & less painful. I couldnt' take a shower for at least 3 days because the sutures had to heal. I couldn't move out of bed for 2 days. The weirdest part is the pec pulling and then you may get random shots of pain that are basically just nerve endings healing. But for the most part I'm so glad to see that you are up & about - again I really didnt' want to move for nearly a week.

You'll be very happy!

oi. the shooting pain is happening in my left breast. it hurts more than the other. both are very tender, but I'm up and moving around. I haven't noticed a whole lot of swelling, but might see more tonight. That's what they told me at the clinic.

I just took 1/2 a pain pill and am going to lay down for a while. I got all hot and sweaty at the pool, but couldn't get in it with the stitches. I think I'll take another shower. So far, it's been the best pain reliever.

Dam girl those boobies look perfect great job. I love the fast recovery my gf was in bed for days after. How long tell you can start lifting again?

Showers are amazing! So refreshing & revitalizing! I remember vividly when I was finally able to get into the shower and finally lift my arm up high enough to shave the ol' pits again --- omg. STUBBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not just stubble. GROWTH!!!!!!!!!!! God, I freaked. LMAO! I hate hair on my body and I felt like a 60s flower child for a brief moment. ("Aquarius" playing in the background...) I shaved that shit off so fast I almost hurt myself tryign to get it all!

The shooting pains are probably the most annoying because they are random and those fuckers hurt sometimes. But its random & short and definitely shows healing in the process.

Interestingly now I still sleep in a sports bra - I dont' like going braless unless I'm out in some hot little outfit -but they tend to still feel like 2 2lb water balloons hanging off my chest. I'm still very happy w/ them. Some one mentioned a re-boob job, however when I asked my doc about the shelf-life of these puppies, he said you could have a blow-out for whatever reason and need a re-do or they can last 25 yrs easy. They haven't been around long enough to know the upper end of the shelf life of a good surgery & a safe / healthy lifestyle, but IMO I'm not in any rush to get a redo. I'm very happy w/ my results and have no reason short of some accident to get any work done on them. Who knows - maybe it will just be part of a full body overhaul when I hit 60 or something. But until then, if you get it right the first time, run with it. :) (Just make sure you wear double sports bras when you start the running...)

Scorp ... $.02 I have heard of procedures using the 1/2 & 1/2 method as well being successful. Can you post any good findings on it as well?

I asked the doctor about this. He said siad that when you go under the muscle, the top 1/2 of your implant sits under and the bottom 1/2 sits within the breast cavity. It's not a new procedure at all. Everyone who goes "under the muscle" has 1/2 and 1/2.

Here's some info from http://www.implantinfo.com/faqs/1.10.html

Q. Is there some special technique which places the implant half under the muscle and half over the muscle?

A. I have had patients tell me that their friend’s plastic surgeon invented a technique like this, and I
thought to myself, “hmm…isn’t that how we all do submuscular implants?” If you think of what a man’s
chest looks like, the nipple is at the lower edge of the pectoralis muscle. The implants, when properly
positioned, are essentially centered under the nipple. That makes half of the implant under the
pectoralis muscle, but the lower half is not covered by the muscle. The lower half sits over the
serratus muscles on the side and the rectus abdominis muscle below. Those names probably mean something
to you if you’re a bodybuilding enthusiast, but for everyone else, it’s just important to know that the
lower part of the implant isn’t under muscle, except in cases of breast reconstruction, which is very
different from cosmetic breast augmentation

lololol. I did a very thorough shave for that reason, just in case. :D I can raise my arms up no problem, though.

I keep telling my 6 year old son that he doesn't have to worry about picking a profession when he gets older. I've already decided he's going to be a plastic surgeon. I'll be in my 50's when he gets ready to set up practice, and will be waiting to be worked on. He's not gungho over that idea, however. He wants to be a Myth Buster.

Once outside of what the doc says, your body will dictate what its ready for - the hardest part is workign on the scare tissue & just the feeling of the muscle contracting around this new object in there. I would say just listen to your body. I'm goign to guess you will go very light or hold off on chest training for a bit simply because it feels really weird, but mostly you'll just have to get used to the feeling of your pec muscles engaging. I also recall noticing that other muscles try to engage to compensate when the pecs start to feel weird. And also dont' forget that the random nerve firings still happen. So I'd just say be aware of when other muscles are trying to compensate and I would probably encourage you to just hold off on training where other muscles do the work that the pecs should be doing instead of just sayign well I can still do the lift -- because its other muscles doing the work so the lift really isnt' doing what it is supposed to. The pec muscles will be ready when they are ready :)

It all comes back soon enough so let your body heal before getting caught up in the "OMG I HAVE TO TRAIN" thing - there's lots of stuff to do in the gym that doenst' impact that area.

Another weird thing is that you now have a new center of gravity to get used to.

All sorts of new things to get used to :)

For me, finally being able to fit into clothes in a balanced way was huge. I'm finally proportional.

Bunny, mine are under the muscle and I did the 24 hour recovery, incision under the breast. I workout alot, but I am not a body builder. The doc said not to work my chest ever, because my boobs will move to the side if I do. I do work my chest about 2 a month very light 10 pounds(incline only) and 1 exercise only. I started out with a full B I am now a full D and DD in victorias secret, 345 on left side and 350 on right, Dr Borsand use a high profile implant, I like the full look.

Oh I almost forgot the only thing that sucks is that I have feeling in my left nipple, but my right one is still kinda numb and it had been over 2 years
