I had my boobs done by DR Borsand, he is awesome and I would recomend him. It was a good experience

okey dokey. I'm sore this morning. Not so sore that I can't move or do anything, but sore enought to know I ought not to life anything. I haven't taken any pain medication yet. I want to see how bad it really is.

The night before the surgery, I showered and washed my old boobs with antibacterial soap per request of the clinic. I also took it upon myself to shave everything that needed shaving so I wouldn't have to worry about it for a few days. After, I did not put on any lotion, perfume, etc.

Yesterday morning when I woke up, I repeated the process. I shaved again where I could get away with it and washed with anibacterial soap. I was hungery and thirsty, but no food or drink for me. dammit.

At the clinic, one of my nurses met us in the waiting room and took me back to prep. Jeff was allowed to come with. Nurse Kim gave me a robe (opening down the back) and told me to take everything off from the waist up. I did this in their bathroom and also thought it wise to pee. :D Last chance, you know.

I came back out and was put in bed 3. They have 4 beds. It looks a lot like the room at the hospital they put all the expectant mothers in when they start labor. I can't remember what it's called...anyway - I got into bed, put some footie socks on and she went over my chart again with me.

When was my last period?
When was the last time I ate or drank?
My age

and finally - what procedure are you here for? lolol

After that, she set up an IV. Nurse Kim did something I've never seen before - she took an insulin needle and injected novacaine into the skin above my vain before she actually put in the needle for the IV. She told me they do it for all theyr paitents, and that she was getting it approved at the hospital, as well. Talk about first class, huh? :D I thought she was just going to jab it in there.

Aftere the drip was running and she got me taped up, Dr. Borsand came in to talk with me. He asked if I smoked a lot. (?) I told him I've never smoked. He said I must be dried out them, because a little dehydration showed up in my blood. (I'm thinking, "hell yeah. You people haven't let me drink anything today. " :D) They increased the speed of my drip and all was good.

Dr. Borsand asked me to stand up on a stool so he could do some more measuring. He measured across the top of my chest, around the rib cage, across the bottom of each breast. He turned me around and measured something across my back/shoulders. He turned me around again andasked me to lean over so he could see how they hang. :D Measured them again, and agin, and again. Dr. Borsand then stood me up and started drawing on me with a purple marker. He made a dotted line across the top of my chest on both the left and right that curved down into my cleavage (or lack thereof). He wrote some notes on me and drew some more lines. Over the top of each breast, he wrote the size in cc's he was going to start out with, then crossed those out and wrote another number. lolol. 400cc on the right and 400cc on the left with bigger numbers beneath each one. Thos bigger numbers are fill numbers. since my left breast is slightly bigger than my right, he was going to even them out during the fill.

The actual numbers he came to during surgery are 425cc on the left and 440 on the right.

Dr Borsand left and another Dr. who was assisting came in. I can't remember her name, but I knw she came from a residency at the hospital in Minneapolis. She asked me about my current suppliments I was taking. She didn't show any interest in any of them but the Melanotan II. She'd not heard of it and wanted to know how I got so tan. I think she was on her way out the door to get some. :D Dr. Borsand came in while she was asking me questions about it and he said he couldn't wait for FDA approval so that they could start offering it in his clinic.

The nice lady doctor left, and the esthetician came in. He took a look at my blood count and told me I had a remarkably healthy, high blood count for a woman. I guess it was 18, while most women are a 12. Whatever that means. I was happy it was something good, even thought I don't really know what it means. lolol

He asked me if I'd ever been under before (no) and explained the procedure to me. He would first inject something into my IV line, and then would put a mask on my face so that I would breath a mist. He explained that by using 2 different types, it would allow me to come to faster - right after surgery. He said that right before he wakes me up, he'll give me a little nausea medicine, and I should be good to go.

His last few questions were basic - any alergies, any problems with any other family member being under, etc.

Nurse Kim came back and took Jeff away. :worried: <----I wasn't really worried, but he'd been so sweet and thoughtful throughout the whole thing. He continues to surprise me in good ways.

After she got Jeff on his way and told him where to park, she came back and had me wal to the operating room. I slid onto the table and it was heated, ya'll. :D I made a comment about it and they probably thought I was a hayseed or something. It felt good to lay on that table. The esthetician took my IV arm and taped it down to the board. We visited while he injected whatever it was into the IV. I felt it in about 20 seconds and that was it. :D Good stuff.

The first thing I remember when waking was the nurse laughing to herself because she was having problems getting my nipple rings back into their proper position. I was barely awake, but I remember her softly cursing to herself about it. :D lolol

She wheeled me back to my #3 bed spot and Jeff was there waiting. I couldn't get my eyes open and could barely move my lips. I just nodded when someone asked me something, and kept working at trying to get my eyes open. I managed it for a few seconds each time before they slammed shut again. It took me about 20 minutes to get to the point where I could keep them open and talk. Just as I did this, the nurse gave me another shot of something in my IV to keep me from getting car sick. Knocked me out again. :D Jeff says we waited another 15 minutes until I was OK again. They sat me in a wheel chair and made me do my arm exercises before wheeling me to the car. I remember nurse Kim putting my seatbelt on me.

I slept most of the way back to the hotel, but woke up jsut in time to say "Jeff, you need to turn here." He almost missed our turn into the hotel parking lot. :D Damn, I'm good. he walked me to the elevators and up to my room, took off my shoes, and put me to bed. Jeff says we got back around 1pm and I slept until 4:30 or 5pm. Did my arm exercises upon waking and had a Starbucks Coffee Frappachino. Yummy. Had a little popcorn, too - but like Sassy said, I wasn't all that hungry.

We walked across the street las night at about 7pm and ate at Carrabba's Italian grill. I had Veal Marsala with steamed brocolli and 4 giant ice teas. :D It was fantastic.

Walked back to the room, unwrapped my new girls and about dropped dead at the size of them. lolol. Holy :cow:. Talk about a huge difference. Dr. Borsand had given me a local at the incision sites, so they didn't hurt at all. Just some pulling around the sides (ribcage) and in my armpits.

I jumped in the shower and it felt GOOD on the girls. Did more arm exercises. Bedtime. It was about 10pm, so I took my anibiotics and a muscle relaxer. No pain pill. I had to lay on my chest for 15 minutes (per clinic instructions) - so I did that in bed with a pillow for my head. After I was done, they were hurting a little. Not too bad, but they didn't like being layed on. :D

I slept really well until about 6am. The pain woke me up. Both incision sites hurt a little and my boobs are sore all over. Not on top, but underneath and into my armpits. It doesn't hurt to life my arms. I just fell a strong pulling sensation in the pec muscles.

Right now, I'm going to take my antibiotics, have a little something to eat, and go lay out by the pool. :D I've got a good book to read and an feeling wonderful. I sent Jeff off to Lake Pleasant this morning to go fishing. He brought his boat. He's been so good to me these last few days...he deserves some time to himself. We're staying here through Monday morning. I have an appointement back at the clinic at 8am.

Have I missed anything?
