It took me a good 3 years to finally comprehend how to get massive and strong via diet and training. The food scale needs pitched. As long as you get 1-2g protein/llb, all else is fair game. Every 2-3 hour meals? Lol....every 30 minutes if it needs to be. You should NEVER know what hungry feels like. Cardio should be at a minimum. And never turn down food. Seriously, dont get slobbish, but it's 100x easier to carve the detail in down the road than it is monitoring every crumb. You will feel fat. F-IT.....you arent. PLUS, ANYONE Schmo can be 165lbs and diced..............

BTW - I just got a 2nd hand buzz from my neighbor's house and out down one of those 3-way holiday popcorns,,,,,ya know, the caramel, the cheese, the chocolate almonds, nuts and seeds...just looked, 26 servings.....oh fuccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

Well bro, that will work if you don't put on fat easy, but that's not the case for the majority of us. I would rather eat clean and look healthy year round, than eat like shit and have nobody even realize I'm a bodybuilder.

Yeah, genetics play a large part here. Some folks can gain less fat. But for sure, as you go on an all out gain, the fat gain becomes much larger than the muscle gain. Then the small amount of muscle that is gained in an all out bulk usually comes off when anyway when contest dieting.

Besides, if you ever compete, I have found it much easier to diet to lose 10% bodyfat than 20%. Contest dieting sucks the big one, not like simple cutting.

I have also found that the more fat I add, the more chance of losing muscle when contest dieting. One more point I may add is from a strength standpoint. It is very taxing on the mental front also....sugar and fat will make you strong, but when dieting, that strength wanes badly.

I find my strength does not suffer so badly if I stay within a 20 lb. range or so of contest weight.

Just observations over the years, dieting sucks. I would much rather diet for 8-10 weeks pre contest than 16 or 20. :)

Then, if contest is not a factor, it comes down to asthetics purely. Then it is a simple matter of what you want to look like. Some folks can easily deal with 20-30% bodyfat, while others will go crazy.

just curious, care to post what a sample day looks like of your 'yearround clean eating?

To my understanding, when on a low carb close to zero diet, meal frequency is not necessary, right? I'm already as big as i want to be, so having to eat every 2 hours is not an obligation for me. Im just trying to get that brad pitt/bruce lee/christian bale ripped ecotmorph look.
