ok, heres the dilly'o ( not dilldoe u fuckers lol)

i was sitting here bored as fuck, and this came across my mind
i want to do more cardio in my workouts.
so when i arrive to the gym it will look like

1: cardio: treadmill,....maybe the cycle( can i do this instead?)
2: abs,
3: whatever it is im training that day....legs.. back...etc

my question is,.. if your doing cardio, and you should do it on an empty stomach, but im also going to do my normal routines...isnt this bad?

should i have my protein shake,30mins b4 cardio, so that i have some intake in protein so i dont collapse?

what should i be doing here??

find a protein source with zero to no sugars, and light on the carbs, have some protein, perhaps a handfull of nuts in the morning would be a good start, they expand a little in your stomachh and are a fairly heavy food, will give u some healthy fats, and some protein. i personally like raw almonds but thats just me, hit costco and pick up a big bag us unsalted raw almonds

already got that, lol

sometimes i've had a few spoons of ANPB... that cant hurt can it?....b 4 i get to the gym n e ways i burnt it up lol

You want to do cardio to burn fat or just for your heart???

For burning fat:

NEVER do cardio before you lift. If it has to be in the same session, do it inmediately after your lifting is done. Get your normal PWO shake after you finish your cardio session, max 1 hour after your lifting.

Don't take any carbs before the cardio , it would be useless then for Fat burning

The reason why you are doing cardio is important, so answer that and we will respond better...

yes, i need to burn off the little bit of a roll i have and the min i step foot in the gym,.. i like to be as productive as i can.

i want to do cardio b4 my workout.

so i want to know the best way to go about this. i know i should do cardio on an empty stomach, but in relation to workingout, i normally have a protien shake prior to my arrival at the gym.

i want to try and kill 2 birds with one stone.

does that help to simplify things??

You cannot do cardio before lifting... simply because you will burn carbs and glycogen with cardio (depending on intensity) you need to fuel your pumps...

do it before and you are short-changing yourself on the intensity of your lifts... When one starts doing a hell of a lot of cardio, you need to lift as heavy as you can, JUST TO MAINTAIN LBM and not loose it... Remember, you are already on a calorie deficit... don't complicate things further by doing cardio before lifts and hitting the weights only half-heartedly...

fuckShit!

i guess i gotta do cardio on a totally seperate day then huh??

That, or doing it after your lifts... I did it after my lifts for 5 months and it worked like a charm... now I am doing it in separate days (only because I don't have the time to do them together anymore, otherwise I would continue)

ahh.. so its ok to still do cardio and lifting in the same session then eh?

kool.. i'll do it after. i've seen other ppl do it that way. guess thats ok

but what about my protien? wouldnt it be too late to take it after 30mins avg cardio?

hm..i could prolly do cardio later after i get home and do a HIIT session

there are formulas for jugding pretty damn close to how many carbs your body will use for a given number of sets and duration... you NEED the carbs for lifting, you want none for the deadicated fat burning cardio...

Macro suggested a 30-60gm carb meal an hour+ before the lift partioned with rALA... do the work, then do the cardio.. it should pan out depending on your body and work loads... if you REALLY want to get into it, bring a blood glucose meter with you a la Dan Duchaine and get technical on its ass: keep the 15 minute test log through the course of your workouts for a month and get a concrete understanding of how many carbs you actually need to do the work load. then eat accordingly..

whoa.. who just typed that'!?
