Taking ownership of your diet!

Thandie, isn't it amazing what a cup of green tea can do??
I LOVE it!!
Great job on resisting the temptation.

Thank you, Momma!

I did good last night, but I have 10 weeks to go and my weight is coming down very slowly this time. I put myself through this in order to maintain muscles, but is way too slow and I'm worry about not making it to April. Anyway, I'm venting and is not my thread. LOL
Hope you're all well..

Hey guys!

I hope everyone is doing alright! I messed up a little yesterday, was on the run the whole day. I missed one of my meals, and for dinner I had cabbage soup. :worried:
Today is a new day and i'm back on track.

:rose:

I have found that keeping healthy snacks around has saved me quite a few times.
I don't get at them too much but Cashew's have helped me quite a bit when I am starving. I don't eat a lot but I am finally seeing a difference.
Its funny how when you first make a sacrifice you miss it so bad. Then after a while you forget about that food. One day you look in the mirror and you are more lean than you used to be and you remember why you made that sacrifice in the first place! :)

Hey everyone,

We all know that diet or nutrition is one of the main components of being healthy and 'fit', and since we all struggle with this, I'd like us to keep a record of successes and failures.

My suggestion is that when we have a terrific day in our diets or when we fall temporarily off the wagon, to come and check in. That way we can make mid-course correction that will help us stay on track. We are imperfect humans.

For example: Yesterday, I was really good and last night I had my green tea when I was actually craving cookies.

Where as the previous day I went nuts and had all the things I shouldn't have had. Oh, I had quite a bit of nuts too!! :p

LOL! so you finally went nuts!;)

Love ya girl! :)

Awesome!!

Well I went out to dinner for my b-day last night and was looking forward to having a cheat meal. We went to one of my favorite restaurants, been there 100 times. We start ordering drinks and I wanted to have a glass of wine. For the first time in a loooong time I got asked for ID. I didn't have my ID on me, so that already put me in a bad mood. For the main course I ordered something I had never had before, wanted to try something different. Umm bad idea....Tt turns out it's some steemed chicken, shrimp and veggies with brown rice. LOL
So there goes my cheat meal :(

On the positive note I didn't feel guilty this morning, I'm pretty sure I would've beat myself up a bit.
Don't feel bad i had a large pepproni pizza last light! With extra Cheese, a shocking reminder as to why diets suck, but necessary also!Stay sane everyone!
And a very happy birthday to you!

I have been on track with my diet, but this is the time before comp when I start craving things I usually don't have, such as burrito, bread, pizza. Very strange since I don't like those things (except pizza once in a while)
I am also very hungry.
I'm hanging in!

I'm right there with you!. I want to break off the diet, but when I look in the mirror and see how close I am; I think about how silly would be to give up my goal for a feeling that will wear off within seconds once I have that food item..

Cravings... darn cravings... the cafeteria at my office has mostly pastry which of course is really hard to resist... yesterday I caught a cinnamon sticky bun staring at me and almost heard it whisper "buy me" :P but I left instead, spent the rest of my break in my computer eating watermellon ^_^
