Is there a point to training?

Bottom line: Drinking IS avoidable in college, it's just a matter of whether you want to or not.

What I've found works best is to give yourself once or twice a semester to get drunk and go all out... all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, after all.

Personally, drinking on a weekly basis interferes way too much with my training, and, to be honest, I feel a lot better when I don't drink at all. As with most things, you have to find a place between the two extremes.

No matter what though, if you get drunk, increase your water and protein intake before and after drinking, and supplement your vitamins afterwards as well. You might as well try to avoid the effects as much as possible if you're going to drink.

Have some fun, not too much, but also take care of yourself when you do.

search for a thread called "Why alcohol is anathema to bodybuilding." You will find all the information you need about alcohol there. And it's not good news for peole that binge drink.

You don't HAVE to drink in college. If you must, do it, but train anyways. Try to cut back on it, though. Everything in moderation. That or develop an outgoing personality.
