Homemade crackers vs bread

I have heard that home made cracker – just bread put into the oven without oils and additives, so basically dried out bread is healthier than normal bread. Do you think this is possible? How does that make bread different?

In terms of calories, dried out bread will be just the same as normal bread, and there will be the danger of eating more of it, since dried bread goes easier. However, dried out bread has more fiber, and it helps digestion. Also, it get considerably less acidity than normal bread, and it will not cause bloating. So it is a better alternative to bread, but yet not ideal if you want to cut.

This sounds like a 'what's the best bad foods to eat when I'm dieting' question. The answer to which is 'neither'.

Yeah, I understand that neither is good, but it is a matter of comparison. Just wanted to see what is the least of the evils...

It is the exact same thing. Kind of like comparing dried fruit to fresh fruit

All that happens when you put bread in the oven is that some of the water is removed. You dehydrate it. It's still bread.

Don't be evil.
