Hey guys I hit my Platue With my regular diet (highly Calorie Defecit). But the good thing is my MRI's and my EMG came back negative so i know my back does not have a serious injury anymore.

I was on a low cal diet since JAN 2 untill now. And on March 1st i start hitting the Cardio up. And im also throwing in an EC Stack To help with enduracne and energy.

I am on a cutting diet. A serious one. I am trying to loose weight my goal is by my birthday in MAY to be around 180pounds. Im down to 193-194 as of right now w/o cardio due to my car accident.

As of March I Start Cardio And my ECA Stack(minus the aspirin)

I need to get into a light cardio workout also i will be reading up more for a good regimine. So anyone have any suggestions/Criticism Welcome! Thanks guys!

Damn really? My diet didnt fully plateau it just slowed up a little and like pintoca said "dont fix it if it isnt broken" So i just added some adjustments and added alot more protein. Since ive read that your muscles need protien to protect themselves from being used as energy.

Also, my activity level is very very low right now due to all the rest ive been doing.
I wake up, work at a desk, go home, lay around all day with heating pads on my back/ and then sleep. BUT when i do do stuff im not lazy about it, i always walk to get myself a drink from the fridge instead of asking, park furthur away from the store then i have to. all little things that most people would find an easy way for i dont. I try to take the long way due to the lack of my activity level.

Thanks Guys

P.S. My activity level is going to jump in march when i start getting back into my cardio ruitine!

Thanks for any advice

I don't remember seeing your diet earlier, but sure I would have had something to say about that Slim Fat... :-)

Anyway, what is your current bf%? And how will your cardio/lifting look like starting tomorrow?

You can plateau for 2 reasons:

1. Starvation Mode: You were eating too few calories
2. Adaptation Syndrome: You were eating OK, but your body got used to the program and knows now how to work with the calories you are giving it.

Getting rid of starvation implies eating more (opposite to what logic says) and getting rid of adaptation implies shocking your body: New diet, Zigzag, new training program, etc... the variations are infinite.

so, post your bf% and training plan and we will put together something cool for ya.

Hello guys, let me start off saying im glad to be part of this board it seems like a very intelligent board with no b.s.

Ok, right now i am weighing in at 199lbs. i am 5'11. I used to be very athletic so i was basically muscular weight not fat but in my junior year of high school i injured my calfs wich stoped my baseball/basketball career. I put on an good amount of weight in 2 years (end of junior year/whole senior yr). Recently on Nov 20 some asshole blew a red light and blasted my drivers side door resulting in a back injury, not a serious one but there is pain and there will be pain for the next 6-9 months. But the whole thing is my doctor has told me that my excess weight will cause stress and pro-long the healing proccess. So i immediately went on a diet. I was around 235-240 in Nov. I now weight 199 w/ the use of Breakfast shakes/Lunch Shake and a sensible dinner. I didnt want to use any diet supplents untill i reached at least 190. Since i have a back injury Cardio is out of the question and so is any weight lifting or else my ass would be in the gym with no problem.
Now heres my question....
I know where to get Stacker2 with the ephedra and Xenical. My question is has anyone had any success stories with each one? I know the Xenical blocks 1/3 of the fats in the food you eat due to an enzyme, and since i am on a very low fat diet (only dinner if anything and its still sensible meal) would blocking that last amount of fats really help? Or should i go ahead and get the Stacker 2's with the ephedra in them? to burn the fat off...

Any info on anything i mentioned would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot guys and im glad to part of the team.

P.S. Im going to be 180 (just matters how quick) =]

Current Stats
Height: 5'11
Weight: 193
Bf%: Not known yet, will have to purchase a scale next payweek
Supplements:ECA STACK/Vitamins/Green Tea/Ginseng

Typical Day Diet

8AM: Breakfast Shake/Homemade Protein Bars
12M: Turkey or Tuna Sandwich
4PM: Another meal Shake/Homemade Protein Bars
7PM: Chicken/Meat/Shrimp/Salmon (Dinner Meal)

i ALSO Snack on Apples/Oranges/ Other healthy stuff when i am hungry. I just dont seem to have an appetite right now to be eating so much.
Im wondering also where to throw in the Protein Shakes?
Also I really like this GoLean Crunch that i got can i incorporate that in between any meals or it doesnt have enough nutrional value to do that?

Hey pintoca thanks for the help, i know i probably lost alot mucsle but its ok, i dont really mind. I feel like im starting over. I eat high protein to help protect my muscles throughout the day. I also lost alot of weight because my Diet before i started this transformation was HORRRIBLE Eating all the Time, Eating Huge bowls of sugar cereals late at night. Disgusting and i guess the switch was a very big deal for my body and zapped me back into reality that i was FAT.

What i was wondering, Since im on such a low cal diet, and i eat alot of protein are my muscles safe? Im starting to taper up my cals slowly because i just dont want my body to store all the cals if im starvation mode.

Thanks for all the help really guys i do appreciate it.
Also, Do you think waking up in the am and doing some aerobics like tybo or however you spell it work? Or Cycling on a bike in my Home? Or even Jumping Rope? I would love to do slight jogging outside its just too damn cold! Im in NY it just friggin snowed AGAIN!

Anyone else with any input welcome. Criticism is also welcome! Thanks again guys!

I suck at estimating body fat % from pics... what do the Plats think of that? about 15 ~ 18%???

If you have your back recovering from an injury, look for low impact cardio (HIIT is not for you right now): Ellyptical, bycicle, walking. Start with 30 mins and then build up to 45 mins per session. Get a Heart Rate monitor, you will need it!!!

Avoid (obviously) jogging and rowing until you are OK again.

If you can get your BF tested at your Gym that will help a lot too, since it will help you set goals and monitor your progress. remember, you want to loose fat, not muscle. When I see how much weight you lost in 2 months, without cardio, I can't help but think you lost some valuable material there...

If your gym cannot help you with the bf% testing, then trys and get a hold of a bodyfat scale... I know I know, they are normally off, way off, but we don't want to measure a particular day, we want to measure a TREND.

Feedback and monitoring is the key here, you cannot make sound decisions based only on pure weight, or BMI or whatever. You need weight and bf% to be able to decide whether the program is working and what changes to make week by week.

Use fitday.com to figure out your calories & macronutrient breakdown. Eyeballing things can leave you very under or over estimating. If you are starving yourself, you are doing 2 things, starving your body of the nutrients it needs to run optimally (e.g. you can even have a hi cal diet but if the quality of the foods is bad, you are still starved nutritionally) and also you are losing not only bodyfat but muscle because your body is looking for something to run on. Secondly, your body will start thinking it is in a famine & will slow down metabolism appropriately for survival. That willl bog down your weight loss and possibly rebound to start gaining weight.
