protein suited for women-

Here we don't have wide variety of good quality proteins, however the best ones that I've tried are:

Isopure 0 Carbs
GNC 100% Whey Protein
EAS Simply Protein

btw, protein is protein. as far as serving size, dont buy into the hype of womens/mens formulas. be economical and buy bulk protein and dose it out for your needs.

Very new a little price but very good. IsoBolic protien from Nutrabolic both chocolate and vanilla are grrrrrrrrrreat!

Most (whey) proteins that I've tried bloat the hell out of me and give me cramps while they're digesting.

I've tried the Optimum isolate/concentrate blend (by far the best mixing and tasting), Whey Tech concentrate, and Designer concentrate.

AlltheWhey isolate is being shipped to me currently - here's to hoping that I do better with the isolate vs. gastro issues. I was "advised" by an employee at a local vitamin shop that a lot of women just can't tolerate whey, period, and she tried to talk me into getting a soy product. Since I've never tried a pure isolate, I wanted to give that a shot before giving up on whey completely. I've got my fingers crossed that the AlltheWhey will do the trick.

Will update once I try it. ;)

Re: female specific protein. Most of the time, in the US, they are pricey, and with no reason. It's about the best marketing gimmick since liquid creatine for women. There seems to be a bandwagon of people lately that think you can add soy to a product and suddenly it's "for women." Anyone seen the new oatmeal with soy? lol

Aaah, gotcha! :)

Yes I've seen that oatmeal - no comment.

It was the same deal with the vitamin shop clerk. She tried her hardest to convince me that whey wasn't for women and that I needed a soy shake because it would be "better for me."

So I walked out and decided to try some whey isolate. I might be lactose or processing-method sensitive, but I just can't swallow the fact that a woman should not use whey.
