Haven't you wondered why obese individuals seem to eat very little food but stay at 400-600lbs.? that is because it takes less to maintain then to gain, as your body can adapt to the environment.

Ah, good example... we should go around with signs that say "EAT UP TO LOSE WEIGHT" in front of 'Jenny Craig' and the "hollywood diet." lol... no one will belive us without listening to the science of the human body though :(

I just finished reading all the posts and all I can say is WOW! I have learned so much! I'm a female trying to lose weight and didn't know all about the "starvation" thing.

I'm glad you learned something on EF. Welcome to elitefitness, stay and post :).

I think a lot of obese people dont realize how much they are eating, I sure did not. When I wrote everything down I realized that I was drinking in juices alone 300 - 500 calories a day. I write everything down what I eat so I have a record over the last year and a half lol.

That is possible and likely - as most people don't keep track of all caloric intake, but juice is not something you want to use in a 'cutting' diet, as it's packed with fructose and, if not organic, additives/preservatives ....the list goes on.

I suggest you try to dial in your diet and change your training asap, before it becomes an issue. You have all the tools now, all you have to do is implement them.

Great Job on your weight loss....That is a huge accomplishment, very few people are that succesful, you have a strong will...I admire that....Listen to Mr. X.....I dont post muich here but I spend hours reading everyting here.....
