How nutritionally bad is the U-Turn bar ?

I know it's less 'harmful' than the Detour bars,

Nutritional Facts:
Cals: 300
Fat: 8
Sat fat: 4
Carbs: 26 (Sugars 12, Fiber 2)
Protein: 30

I'm in my first week of coming off from the ANPB diet,
and I'm increasing caloric intake a bit and changing
now to 20% carbs (was 10% before). I was wondering
if eating a U-Turn bar PRE- workout is that bad? It is extremely
tasty for me. and total carbs for the day is still not over 20%

Note: post workout, I drink a protein isolate only drink (no carbs)
in order to continue post-workout increased lipolysis.

they don't even market them as protein bars anymore. they just call them protein candy bars.

if you want a preworkout snack with carbs and sugar make yourself a muscle milk shake with ice and water. (you need a blender) it tastes like a milkshake.

or else oatmeal with splenda and some log cabin sugar free syrup is good with a few raisins or strawberries.

when were those pics taken in your avartar?

The abs were taken half a year ago. The back double biceps was taken two weeks ago. Still trying to get down to 8%. Currently caliper says 3.6% (yeah right) and tanita says 12%. I guess I'm around 10%.

Thanks dude, I know these tests, they are very old and
the labels on the Detour bars have already been changed ages
ago and to reflect the correct data (i.e. 10g of fat and 14g of
sugar instead of 6g.) Even with the values, it's not that bad,
but the U-Turn bar is nutritionally better than the detour,
and in my honest opinion tastes better.

what do u guys think about the new snickers energy bars...220 cals...45 carbs...9 g protein...they're pretty much candy bars with a little more protein in them (they taste damn good though)

Muscle milk? Please explain to me how muscle milk is good pre-workout, or at any other time in the day. It only has 12 carbs and lots of fat (18g). Around your workout, you want to keep fat low and protein and carbs higher.

I still havent found a way to use muscle milk to make it useful to a diet. It has too much fat for bulking, and it has too much carbs for ckd or any Keto diet. It mixes high fat with sugar.

Id stick with the detour. Its not good to replace meals with, but its better than letting your body go hungry. IMO its great for preworkout.
