Eating before morning lifting

Who here eats before morning lifts? I haven't been eating more than a banana. But I'm starting to second guess that. Usually wake up at 6:30am, 7am gym. 10min warmup, 60min lift, 10min cool down.

It varies person to person. I personally feel like if you're lifting heavy weights you need more in your system than a banana. Maybe wake up a bit earlier and have some eggs/toast just to get something more in your system... having said that, if a banana works and you feel energized for your workouts then whatever works works. Not sure if it's optimal though

fuk that

i cant workout unless ive had a pre workout meal with atleast 100 carbs and 50 grams protein

alwise my workouts jus suk arse, theres no way im deadlifting 600 when all ive eaten is a banana

last time i walked into a gym with nothing in my stomach i ended up questioning what im doing with my life since my lifts suked arse

Well that could be the reason why I'm stuck at 450 dead, even 10days into gear.

I'm going to try, banana, apple with a protein shake. I don't like to eat anything warm when I first wake up.

I have a protein shake and banana at 5:30 then go lift, then come home and eat a regular breakfast, eggs and oatmeal. I need something in my stomach for energy, but not so much that I blow chunks after squats etc.

I can't imagine doing that! Like was said earlier, yeah, a.m. cardio but wow ... personally, I've found lifting in the early evening (after 4:00 p.m.) to work the best for me.

Todays work out wasn't bad. But I couldn't really tell a difference because I only did shoulders. Maybe I will notice on a leg or back day. But I know I usually burn 400 cals on warmup & cool down. Than how much ever lifting.

I'm done work at 5, then I have a bunch of things to do, like make dinner, make lunches and extra meals for the next day, wash dishes, tidy up, do laundry if need be and then take some leisure time, so if I went after work I wouldn't get this stuff done in time to get a good night's sleep.
Plus I just have way more energy first thing in the morning, and I tend to lose motivation as the day wears on, as sometimes I'm on my feet most of the day.

Oh, my dear, you are WAY nicer than me.

Dishes: That's what the dishwashing machine is for.

Laundry: Once a week, on the weekends. Maybe one load in the middle of the week if we run out of socks, but the machine does all the work and if I pull it out of the dryer after husband comes home he helps fold.

Tidy: If nobody is coming over, the dust bunnies can wait until whenever.

Make Dinner: I can do that in 20 minutes, usually less. Generally, dinner for me is a protein shake. Proper "sit down" meals are a thing of the past. If my husband wants to eat he knows where the foreman grill or peanut butter are.

Getting old does have the benefit of not having to give a damn :D

I have to eat a large breakfast (my main meal of the day) before I work out. I eat 4 eggs (no yolks), a bowl of plain oat meal, fruit, and sometimes a whey shake. I wait about 45 minutes for it to settle, then to the weight room.
