Diet while doing a cycle of Primobol?

aandd

My husband is going to do a cycle of Primo to cut. He's not really interested in stacking. He had great results 6 years ago or so doing a cycle of just Winny to cut. His stats are:

Height: 6'2"
Weight: 280'ish
BF: 47% or so
gear: 400mg each week
Goal: weight and BF loss. (he's not worried about being well defined at this point)

I need to set up his diet, and was unsure if it would still be the normal 10 - 12% of his bodyweight times 10.... considering the added gear. Can anyone tell me if there are extra calorie or nutrient requirements I need to consider.

Other factors to consider for his diet: he works nights, and generally only eats one big meal a day, then a small one before bed the next morning. He knows this will change, but I don't really see him having the time at work to fit in 6 small meals.

As far as weights: He lifts 3 to 4 mornings a week. Cardio is not a high priority for him - but it will be when he starts to cut.

Thanks for any help.

If his bf% is anywhere NEAR that high, there's NO need to use gear to diet. He'll gain muscle and lose bodyfat with simply a better diet and cardio. No offense, but gear is not the answer at 47% bf. I really can't help you, I wouldn't suggest a cutting cycle till he's closer to 15%, which really shouldn't be that hard. Do cardio 5 days a week in the morning on an empty stomach, eat high protein, lower carbs, lower fats but healthy( EFA's, flax oil, etc), and keep calories below maintenance. He'll lose fat I promise. Gear isn't needed yet.

47% bf must be a misprint!!

Gear has worked for him before, as I noted in my OP. Thanks for the reply. I'll wait for someone who might be able to help with my diet questions.

I was merely pointing out that he's relying on gear as a crutch, not on his actual diet and hard work to get results. And since you obviously didn't notice, I DID give you a general rundown of what kind of diet he should follow. I'm not going to write out a full diet plan on here, I don't have time and you're not paying me for that, but high-protein, lower carbs, cardio in the am on an empty stomach 4-5x a week, weights in the evening, the fat will melt off as high as his is. He shouldn't even need something like caffeine/ephedrine as a boost yet, I just don't want him using gear as a crutch instead of hard work, that's all. Not an insult to you or him, just trying to help. PM me if you want me to try and help on his diet some... are you SURE he's really 47%? How was that measured? That seems awfully high for 280lbs at 6'2", for someone who lifts weights 3-4x a week. You REALLY should have him change to 5-6 meals a day, that alone would speed up his metabolism by a large margin without doing anything else. Have him take a shaker cup and some skim milk and protein powder to work. He can have a shake every few hours. It's not perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than nothing. No more time now, but like I said, PM me if you need more help and I'll try.

Thanks Tux.

Yes he is using it as a crutch to get where he wants. He wants to see the quick results from the gear. The 47% is just with my home Tanita scale. It's probably not totally accurate, but on myself it's within about 3% points, compared to the Tanita at the gym. He has JUST started working out again - after a 5 year hiatus, during which there were no foods off limits. LOL.

I'm setting him up on a variation of my diet - 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% fat... but I just wasn't sure of calorie intake and any special requirements to make the most of his gear. Since I prepare his meals and pack his lunch for work, it's up to me to put in what he needs. :)

I'll PM you in a bit. Thx.

That sounds like a pretty good split for leaning him out. As far as calories go, I believe it is recommended that calorie intake should be 10-12x GOAL bodyweight rather than just current bodyweight, no need to add calories for excess bodyfat. Also, I have heard it as high as 15x, depending on activity levels. As for the gear, I am not sure that it makes a difference in calorie requirements, maybe someone who is more experienced can help you out there.
