I *love* the side-by-side pictures - You look amazing. How do you feel, now that it's been a week?

My doctor- Dr Salzberg was just featured as one of the Top Doctors for Women in Ladies' Home Journal. I also bought his book (before I went for a consult and they gave me another (free) copy- It's 'Your Complete Guide to Breast and Body Contouring'.

Thx WonderWoman for suggesting a good doc. The doc i went to gave me only 375cc's in one breast and 325cc's in the other. I have the paperwork. I can tell the difference that one is off. He's such an iddiot and shouldn't be practicing @ all. Can you tell me about your experience w/ Dr. Salzberg? How much was the cost of the implants? Did you go under or over? Did you choose the shape of the implants? Are you happy w/ the result? I would like to go to a doc that has experience w/ female bodybuilders like short one's, does Dr. Salzberg? Cause the doc i went to was a boob and didn't know a thing.

TSO, I hope we are not over-jacking your thread. I figured this was a 'breast enhancement in detail' post so I'll go for it.

Annie, here are the answers I have for you. I am going with approx 400 cc's in one breast, 425 in the other. CCs do not = breast/cup size. For example, one could go with 350 cc's and end up looking exactly like TSO because she is starting out with more breast tissue than TSO did.

My experience so far w/ Dr. Salzberg has been wonderful! I go for my surgery (breast lift and implant) next Thursday the 24th. The cost was broken down to be around 4500 for the doctor/cost of implants themselves, plus more $$ for the anesthesia and use of the surgery center.

I am going under the muscle. I am not sure what you mean by shape. Generally, no one uses the teardrop shaped implants anymore, but they do have high, medium, and low-profile implants. I would have your doctor suggest which to select based on your size/frame. If you get a breast lift, you are a candidate for silicone implants, which tend to ripple less than saline. When you are a low body fat percentage to compete in figure/fitness/BB, you will see the ripple. Other than that- The best part about my first visit with Dr Salzberg was that on my first visit, I was very hesitant and nervous, especially when it came to size. That day, he had a post-op visit scheduled - It was a girl who had surgery the week prior... She was a personal trainer in very similar shape/condition to me. He suggested I wait to meet with her (if she was comfortable) to talk to her about her experience. It was a great great thing for me.

O.k. that's it next fall I'm doing this... Try and get NPC qualified next year and for my birthday I'm buying me a set dangit!! Then maybe take the following year off from competing to gain more muscle size.

My new boobs are a week old now. I feel good. The shooting pains hae gone away and all I feel now is soe tingling when I set them free from the sports bra, and general soreness in my pecs. It feels like I worked out yesterday.

I had an old friend visit today and he hugged me pretty hard. ouch. lolol. Other than that, no problems.

Dr. Borsand made me feel really comfortable and confident about the surgery at our consultation, too. I feel that this is very important. If you still aren't sure after your consultation, see another Dr. to set your mind at ease.

OK. My final boob update.


I went back to work today. For those of you who don't know what I do - a picture:

That big yeller one is my ride. It's a paddle scraper, and it picks up lots of dirt or rocks or whatever. It bounces the holy hell out of you, too. lolol. I wore 2 bras today - my new VS and a sports bra over it to protect from serious bouncing.

I am pleased to report that my boobs made it through work without any problems. My scars itch (took the tape off on Saturday) and my boobs are still a little tender, but otherwise Okey Dokey. QT will be happy to know that my nipples are still sensitive (didn't loose it, thank goodness).

Oh! I worked out on Sunday. Lower body, only...and did 45 minutes on the treadmill (walking at 4.5 mph) with a gradual incline/decline to 7 and back. (DANM, my quads are sore. lololol) I strapped my boobs up in a sports bra and a tight, spandex tank. No problems. This coming weekend, I'm going to start working out again. (YAY!)

So, 12 days after surgery and I'm roaring to go. No complications, no unbearable pain, no bruising, and very little swelling. I have more than 1/2 my pain killers and muscle relaxers left over for an emergency. The boobs have relaxed a bit now so they don't look like missiles or hubcaps. They do tend to produce more sweat now than the rest of my body...haven't figured that one out yet.

hey. boobs get me excited, too. When you mentioned running a thread about it, I thought it was a great idea. I'm more than happy to provide info for girls who are thinking about doing the same...and I'm glad I had such a good experience. I would definitely recommend my Dr. and his clinic. They made the experience stress free, and as close to pain free as it could get.

How often do you have to go back for check ups? I have heard of girls coming from across the country to go to a doc they truly love, b/c word of mouth/referral ... wondering how a doc may handle it if you are an out of state patient ... if you know..
