Bad diet mixed with sinus infection and overtraining

Hey guys,

I'm not sure if I feel like shit because I over trained, ate bad for a weekend, or if it's my sinus infection.

I've been having GREAT gains for the last 3-4 weeks.

I started over doing it by doing 6 sets of leg presses, 4 sets of squats and 3 sets of hamstring curls. Two days later I did a bunch of sets fo 50 yard sprints.

The two days of rest in between the leg workout and the sprints, I ate like a pig. It was the town festival and I'm a firefighter. All kinds of people kept buying me all kinds of junk food.

Then two days later I came down with a sinus infection and my nose is all stuffy.

Last night I did bi's and back. I had a decent workout but I feel absolutly no pump this morning, no soreness. I feel VERY flat. Is it just the sickness that's making me feel like this or was it the two days of bad eating.

Sorry for the novel...

I don't think you need to worry about overtraining from just one week. Overtraining takes weeks upon weeks of pushing yourself to the limit when lifting and doing cardio, day after day. I would say it's just the sinus infection. your body is working hard to fight the infection so it's not at 100%. Take some time off until you're better.

you mentioned sinus infection. that will slow you down and make you feel bad.
Rest, continue to eat good and limit hard phisical activity. won't take long to be back on top. peace bro. :coffee:

Well I'm doing alot better. A little antibiotics did the trick. I'm back to my workout routine and diet. Tuna, tuna, salmon, tuna, turkey, etc.

I just started day one of the firefighting academy. I think I'm going to have most of those wimps beat. I'm basically about the same size as the training officer. There is probably only one guy that would give me a run for my money. He's an "ex-marine", that just got out. He's about 4 years younger and doesn't have a full time job. So all he has is time to workout.

Oh well, I guess that's just more motivation for me..
