Ok, Im 50 and Im experiencing something that is new to me. My workouts are kicking my ass and I feel dissatisfied just after my workouts feeling like I could and should have gone just a little bit more. But during the workout my ass is dragging the whole time.
Anybody else get this and what the fuck to do about it??? I know this is pretty general and I would like to keep it that way plz...

I'm 50 as well and train very intensively but found that I did not get the max out of my workouts until I added a stimulant. Caffeine tabs or jacked 3d or m1r or something like that. I gets me through.
As well I always have a carb load before and after my workouts.

I'm 43.... I used to work out in the evening, but I found that I do way better in the morning now. If I do try to work out in the evening, I just can't wait to be finished and go to bed early, but in the AM, I tend to push myself to the limit easier. That's the only difference.

Just a general thought: Are you watching your heart health? All of us at any age, and especially 35+, should be checking in with the doctor at least once/year to be sure the old arteries are still clear, and that nothing's going on with the cardiopulmonary system that you might just want to blame on age.

OK, will try somekind of stims. Also just had a physical. Everything in the green, and THANKS for bringing that up kx:D.

I think part of it is just a mental game. I use to go into the gym and bang it out. Now I just don't have as much motivation, think it's a matter of when I was younger I usually was in environments that might led to fighting, mating or showing off. Now it's pretty common for me to be the hands down in the best shape of any one in the room. Once in a while I get surrounded in the gym by 20 year olds who are in really good shape and that does get me going but then my lazy ways have left me not nearly as strong as I was ten years ago. Goes back to I'm really not that motivated to do what it take to get back in that good of shape. Not sure my body could take the real heavy lifts any more.

41 here just back seriously training and getting through pretty well using the pre workouts tried them all but the super pump 250 seems to get it done

Needto Slin and Forged Burner combined. WOW!
INTENSE!
Now Im where I wanna be. Almost out of control but not quite!
I soooooo love that feeling.
A happy camper here!

I'm 49 and turning 50 very soon. I started doing 1/2 a caffeine pill before a workout years ago, and it really helps. I think I have fairly good workouts (some better than others), but my biggest challenge as I've grown older is recovery. I feel like my tendons and joints ache more, and because of that I don't sleep as well the first couple of nights after an intense workout.

Yeah if I workout at night, forget going to sleep at all. Has to be a.m. or mid day workouts for me. Also just feel more like doing it then. Cheque drops.....hmmmmm......
