okay some of you might think this is a stupid question but im being dead serious here. i have HORRIBLE gas pretty much all day. it sucks being around this girl im dating because im always worried about holding it in. i eat the same thing every day on my diet so im guessing its something in the diet. this is what i eat every day:

1 cup of oatmeal
3 eggs
2 turkey sandwichs with cheese on whole wheat
1 apple
2 protien shakes with dextrose (ON Choc Mint)
2 cans of tuna
1 salad
2 chicken breasts
1 spoon of flax
creatine
glutamine
multivitamins
lots of water.

something in there has to be causing this. can anyone tell me what it is and what i can do to stop the gas????? karma will be awarded. thanks!!!!!!!!!
 
first of all, how long have you been on that diet? could be the eggs man, they give me gas sometimes too, lots of protein can cause gas if your body isnt used to it, give it a week if this diet is new. it should go away, if not eliminate the eggs.
 
man I really can't help ya either. I can eat all of those things throughout the day and not have gas. Do you drink alot of water? Do you eat alot at one time or spread it out during the day?
 
It's going to be hard for anyone to say definitively that it's any one thing in your diet. Everyones body is different. I eat no less than 18 eggs (whites only) every day and it doesn't affect me at all. But when I start upping my protein overall, sometimes it can give me gas temporarily.

If you have been on this exact diet for a year, maybe you changed brands or types of one particular type of food and that is causing your stomach some problems? You can always try and just take one item out of your diet and see if things start to improve.
 
I have the worlds worst stomach and I think your intake looks perfect! Sometimes the protein shakes can do this though. How about gum? Any sugar free gum mints etc...really cause horrible gas. The flax is good for digestion and should actually help "bind" things. Could possibly be you have a wheat allergy - try skipping the bread and adding a sweet potato instead.

fruits/salads digest fast. Protiens digest slow. If you eat the two together it slows the digestion of the fruit/vegies and can cause them to start to deterioate in your gut, hence the bad gas. Make sure you space out any fruits/vegeis/salads with any protiens. If this helps send me some K and tell your girl musclebosun rocks!
 
dude man up and give your ho a dutch oven!! if she can't take it ditch her! man i love it when i get the rank ass.....that means it's on and my woman is going to get a lung full!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Maybe you are slightly lactose intolerant and the cheese gets to you...

Whenever i go to boston pizza i get their fetuccine alfredo which is ULTRA CHEESY and let's just say that crap smells like something died inside...

But yeah, that's my best guess, slight lactose intolerance.

Try further diluting your protien shakes...i find when i don't add enough water to mine my my stomach does funny things (ie. gas/bloating) also try slowing down how quick you drink them.
Other than this...guy get some peppermint oil caps and ginger root caps from the health food store...
Other than this, you can try taking out suspected culprits out of your diet for a week (i'd start with the eggs, and see if the problem gets any better), and see if the problem goes away.
