My wife is hot!! But she's dead set on dropping the pounds. She definately does not want to use AS of any type. She's doing about an hour of cardio 5 days/week and works out with weights every second day. She packs on muscle quick, but has difficulty dropping the fat. Should she eat more often, like six meals/day or just stick to 3 meals? Should she cut carbs as low as she can? What should her workouts look like? She's presently 5'3" and 154lbs.

3 meals a day??? That will only slow her metabolism down...she needs to eat 6 times a day every day...Her diet is key to losing bodyfat. I would focus more on the heavy weight training..cardio is fine but I wouldnt get into real high intensity. She doesnt need to do hours and hours...shes holding fat cause she isnt eating enough calories! can u post a sample diet?? She can train just like u....no special way to train a woman.

Six meals a day is the right advice. Also, is she willing to do Clen? It's not an AS, but is an asthma medication. It drops the fat very fast. Just have to cycle it. Use an ECA stack such as Labrada's Charge or Hydroxycut during the clen off weeks.

Also, cycling the calories helps; high day, low day, medium day. This is done by adjusting the carbs +/- 20% depending on the day.

Does she count calories? It would help keep her on track. Try 12 calories/lb of lean body weight to start as the average per day. Protein at 1 gram/pound of lean bodyweight and fat at 20% of total calories. Carbs make up the difference.

Get her to focus on bodyfat not pounds. Even if she just trades 5 fat pounds for 5 muscle pounds, she'll weigh the same, but have a trimmer tighter body, because muscle is denser than fat. She should just avoid the scale and have her bodyfat tested periodically to measure progress.

For carbs, limit the simple carbs like breads/pastas, etc. and eat mostly complex carbs like oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potato, and fibrous carbs like vegatables. It helps me to cycle carbs. Higher some days, like before heavy training like leg day, and lower other days. That way I never feel deprived and it keeps my body guessing.

Eating multiple small meals a day like 5-6x helps me a lot. I feel like I have more energy and don't worry about getting hungry because I know my next meal's not far off. Each meal should include protein.

Her diet should also include some healthy fats - omega-3's like flaxseed oil, salmon, tuna. Omega-6's are good in small portions, from olive oil, avocado, nuts. Healthy fats help the body to burn fat. Drink lots of water too.

Thanx for the replies. How do you use clen properly? Does it work well for body fat reduction? Does it spare muscle?

Thanks for the replies - I KNOW what food is, but had never heard of clen. So that's why I asked. I recognize that diet is a huge part of the whole training thing. It's really up to me to decide that I REALLY want to do it.

I'm doing weights 5 days a week, one bodypart/day, then 30-50 mins cardio afterwards - various intensities. I've put on a LOT of muscle, but the fat insists on staying. I've noticed changes in my body for sure, but no matter what I do diet-wise, my muscles get bigger, and the fat gets puffier. I've also tried a couple of weeks of just plain cardio, but there isn't much of a difference. Gimp and I have started a new very clean, low carb diet that I am hoping will work - I've never been so hungry. Plus, Gimp was on a bulk, and I guess that meant I was too.

THanks again, Gimp's Wife
