July 1st "Omega Project"

Hi all,

July 1st I started the Omega plan. I've been thru two w/o's and I'm still sore from day 1!! Its a diff. approach to training but so far so good. DOMS is kicking my butt.

My stats 43 yr. female
5'5
150 lb.s (I gained a good 20 lb.s since Jan.2008 due to full-time student and eating bad)
BF aprox. 25-28% (this is a guess)

I've competed in Figure for 3 years in a row and took this year off to go back to college. I am married & have 2 kids. I have always lifted but cardio and diet has always been my issue. Either too much or lack of. I go back & forth from over training to burn out and rebounding after the comp. season is over. I cannot give exacts in nutrition or training but will post pic.s every 4 weeks. :)
 
7/8/08 Tues.

It was Leg day!! I've always hated doing legs, but starting to see improvment in strength which makes me happy. Pretty intense w/o! I taught Kick-box first for 60 min. I can tell my w/o suffered by doing cardio first so might have to rearrange my sched.

Diet is on so far, having a prob. w/pm. carb. cravings..Any ideas from anyone. I do great all day, right @ 7p.m. I want to snack on crackers,popcorn usually salty stuff.

Lipoflame is def. helping w/appetitie & energy during the day. If I could get over the evening munchies :(
 
7/11/08 Fri.

Leg training today. My energy was lacking due to poor sleep last night. I trained upper body last night at 7:00 p.m. I notice when I train later in the day, my sleep suffers...

We're off to the LA State BB show tomorrow!!! I think this will get me pumped up to compete again. I hear its going be a fairly good size show, Victor martinex & Jamie Eason are going be the guest peeps. I'll try to get some good pic.s :)
 
I just wanted to say good luck on the road back to fitness. My situation is somewhat similar to yours. I've competed in figure 3 years in a row, and took this year off to have my second child. So now I'm faced with getting back into shape. I'd like to compete again next year, and I feel like I'm starting all over. Anyway, keep up the good work, and I'm there with ya!

I'm back from vacation I worked out a few times while in Texas. Back in the gym Mon. weights & cardio!! Pic.s will be posted in a few weeks.

Thanks sdupdike :) I'm focused on getting back in comp. shape. I have a good year to prepare, so going to do it right this time. I went back to nursing school last Jan. the sitting in class & studying put a damper on gym time. You'll get back in shape, good ol muscle memory :)
