SORENESS after every workout?

I have FINALLY switched to a lower SET style.

Large Body Parts 7-9 sets of 5-7 reps
Smaller Body Parts 5 sets of 5-7 reps

I am trying this because all of the positives I have been reading regarding lowering your sets=growth.

I actually miss that feeling of soreness the NEXT day. Makes me WONDER if I'm stressing my muscles enough for breakdown?

LIL help?!!!?!?

I've been following the DC workouts, 1 or 2 heavy sets (some restpause, statics) per body part, and have been sore from them. It takes some getting used to, but if i'm sore the next day from such low volume at least i know im growing =). Recovery time is way faster though, i can normally hit the same body parts 3 or 4 days later.

that's a low # of sets? holy crap that's a lot

I laughed when I saw his numbers and said, "All the DC'es are going to say that's a lot."

I think Dreejay is like me. We are from an era when volume training was MUCH higher... and we all had to learn to cut back.

I do numbers about like Dreejay... and I consider it getting away with skimpy light workouts each time.

I do 4-5 sets per workout. I'm never really that sore.

I dont understand what you guys mean by sets? Are we talking about sets per body part? Or total sets?? Im lost here....

"Sets" is short for TV sets. We usually like to have 7-9 TV monitors set up to film our form from different angles while we work out.
