I think he means when the weights start getting heavier to keep the weight consistent and stick with the 5 sets 5 reps...but looks good the way your doing things in order to prep for the heavy weight to come
I'm actually gonna use my starting weights kinda like my warm-ups now for a few sets, then ramp the weight up for 4 more sets for 7 total. Then as the weight gets heavy I will drop it back to 5 sets all with the same weight....that way I will be better prepared for the heavy 5x5 when it ramps up to more difficult weights
If youre not sore the next day then you're not growing either lol
