I have heard sooooooooo many negative things about coffee. Im trying to cut down and lose about 10lbs. Im eating clean, training hard etc. I just have one problem... Im addicted to COFFEE!!!! Ive been trying to cut down on it and am managing fine without it, yet sometimes, specially when the wheather is a little dim, I find myself drinking coffee. Im sure one cup should be fine? I usually drink it with two sugars and milk, cant stand it with sweetner. Do you guys think this is ok, or would it be better to not drink any at all?

There are a lot of myths and flase info about coffee

If you drink it black w/o sugar and cream and with moderation (ie less than 5-6 cups a day) you'll be fine

It'll be give some energy and help in fat loss 9especially in conjunction with ephedrine HCl)

:coffee:

At least try to get rid of the sugars & milk. There are lots of sugarfree creamers that might work for you. I get a jumbo dunkin donuts coffee every morning & throw in 2 Splendas.

As far as losing the weight, be sure to still drink lots of water & keep the diet tight.

"Coffee has been a medical whipping boy for so long that it may come as a surprise that recent research suggests that drinking moderate amounts of coffee (two to four cups per day) provides a wide range of health benefits. Most of these benefits have been identified through statistical studies that track a large group of subjects over the course of years and match incidence of various diseases with individual habits, like drinking coffee, meanwhile controlling for other variables that may influence that relationship. According to a spate of such recent studies moderate coffee drinking may lower the risk of colon cancer by about 25%, gallstones by 45%, cirrhosis of the liver by 80%, and Parkinson's disease by 50% to as much as 80%. Other benefits include 25% reduction in onset of attacks among asthma sufferers and, at least among a large group of female nurses tracked over many years, fewer suicides.

In addition, some studies have indicated that coffee contains four times the amount of cancer-fighting anti-oxidants as green tea. "

Thanks guys :)

Sassy I wish we got Splenda here in South Africa. Ive tasted it before and it beats the taste of canderel anytime (not sure if you guys have canderel there?) - anyways, the EAS RTD's that I drink have Splenda in and it tastes sooooooo much better.

Can you get Stevia there?? That's another option....

hey for the last 6weeks...ive been swapping my coffees w equal for green w stevia...i feel much better for it - but cant deny i still love the smell of coffee. and the stevia is way better than equal

I use Splenda, too. Maybe you can get a friend to ship you a big box of 200 packets. It'd last you a good while, if you're only drinking one cup a day. Two packets makes a big cup plenty sweet. And of course, use skim milk, even though that makes the color not nearly as appealing. It still tastes & feels yummy.
