cant stand people who do this at fast food restraunts

i hate diet soda, some people like it, so that's up to them. i don't really see anything wrong with people doing what has been said (extra greasy food and diet soda) unless they really do think that the diet soda is going to make all the difference in their diet.

actually, i've read that drinking through a straw is bad for your teeth, but any time i eat out i'll use a straw.

hell, after working in a resteraunt for a few years, i'm suprised i can eat at resteraunts considering i know what goes on in the kitchen :worried:

Same here. I'll drink regualr soda when sharing with my BF, but otherwise, I drink DIet. When I have cheat days, I don't want to waste all those calories o nsoda. Bring me the cheesecake! :)

:good:

I know what you mean.

Its funny when people to subway, get a sub loaded with peperoni, cheese, 10 lines of maybe, etc, and then grab some 'baked chips' lol. If they only knew.

i do the diet thing when I am eating crap too.....but i'm not fooling myself into thinking I am being healthy.....

my fat ass roomate in college would get 2 pineapple cream cheese tasty cakes and a diet coke out of the vending machines.....and stuff his face thinking he was being somewhat healthy......

I only drink water now because it's my favorite. I quit drinking regular pop to get away from the excess sugar and tried diet pop or crystal light for a while. I'd mix my crystal light with less and less powder to wean myself away from it. After I found out the history of aspartame and how bad it actually is for you (worse than drinking the sugar in a regular soda), I dedided to only drink water. You'll just feel better. Some tap water has a bad taste to it that I won't drink. I try not to waste my money too much on bottled water because regardless of what the companies claim it's probably not much different than any good tap water. Think about it... any time you go to a restaurant you can save a dollar and at the same time have something that's healthier for you and actually does quench your thirst. I don't even crave any other beverage. I do like to eat though. I try to keep my diet fairly wholesome without going to the extremes, usually. But if I have a craving for something every now and then, I'll go ahead and have it. If you keep your metabolism going pretty good, you'll burn it right off.
