calves burning

Ok, as of about 2 weeks ago my calf muscles have been bothering me alot. Anytime I run, do karate, or play basketball, then start to burn like hell after about 2 minutes, even to the poing where i can barely walk. It feels like alot of lactic acid is building up, but I never had this problem before. If anything, the first muscle group to feel like this would be my quads, and my calves barely felt anything. I usually work my calves once a week, but haven't trained them since this started. I also seem to have a big knot in my left calf, near my shin :(. Anyone else ever get this problem or know what its from/how to fix it? Thanks again! Sorry to be bugging you guys with my soreness problems. heh

if you gain weight too fast (either fat and/or muscle) your calves will be the first to notice that extra weight has been added.

since the gain of weight was fast, they are simply not used to the it.

Ok, thats probably it then because I have been gaining alot of weight recently(Trying to gain a bit more before I have to start cutting). Well only a couple more weeks then and I guess I should be fine. Thanks a ton satchboogie and strider :)

Either stretch them real good, or go get them rubbed out by a massage threapist/chiropractor.
