What can I expect from this meal plan?

I posted this on the diet board but there's almost no responses there

I figure with this diet I can succeed in gaining size and strength, while keeping fat gains minimal. I cannot afford many supplements now, nor much food. That's why tuna is the key food for me. The diet goes basically as follows...

Weekdays
Meal 1: Total, OJ, Milk - 320 calories, I get minerals and vitamins from the cereal, got my vitamic C from the OJ

Meal 2 & 3: 24 oz. gatorade & a grilled chicken wrap with baccon, lettuce, and tomato - 500 or so calories, at least 30 gs of protein

Meal 4: Tuna on whole wheat bread w/mayo and a glass of milk - totals about 510 calories and 48 grams of protein

Training

PW/O Meal (training days only): 2 scoops opt nutrition NATURAL strawberry whey protein with a tbsp ev olive oil - gives 5 grams glutamine, 360 calories, 44 grams of protein

Meal 5 & 6: Tuna on whole wheat bread w/mayo and a glass of milk - totals about 510 calories and 48 grams of protein

I may throw in 2 scoops of whey protein either in the morning or at night before bed into this diet. It adds up to somewhere around 2900-3100 calories (give or take) and 200+ grams of protein.

The only difference on weekends is I have 2 extra tuna sandwiches instead of the grilled chicken wraps (I get those at school so at home I have tuna)

My stats are: 6', ~179 lbs, ~10% BF

Does this sound like it will work? I'm doing DC style training right now, working M/W/F.

Also, is all that mayo bad for me? Figuring a serving per sandwich, which is 11 grams of fat (1.5 unsaturated) per serving.

I would lose A LOT of weight on that diet...and my strength would go down A LOT.

The Hamburger Helper diet could do you wonders...especially for your pocketbook.

B True

i agree with b fold.

but i honestly dont know why you're SO worried about gaining some fat. it's going to happen if you want to gain size/strength

Damnit clint.. don't mention the hamburger helper diet!
That is like my heaven..... I'm cutting so I dont get any :(
Look what you did... your gunna make me go binge now!
:p

Why would I lose strength and weight? I mean, it's enough calories (20xBW for bulking), enough protein... not arguing with you, rather looking for the reasoning behind your statement.

on a diet like this, you may not neccessarily lose strength/size, but i'll bet your strength/size gains wouldn't be as good as if you did the HH diet

What's the Hamburger Helper diet, now? I remember that shit tasted SO fuckin' good. Does it have alot of protein and calories? I mean I was under the impression if you have enough calories and protein in your diet, you're going to make good gains...

you may make as good of gains, but it may also be a psychological thing. if i eat a bunch of heavy, good-tasting food, i feel more full/heavier which makes me feel stronger..weird

anywho, yeah. hamburger helper is great. lotsa carbs, protein, and the other stuff

Okay, according to FitDay a serving of HH has...

5 grams of protein, 178 calories, 5 grams of fat, 29 grams of carbs...

What's good about this?

How much is a packet of HH/How many servings does a packet make?

I could throw it in for s'more carbs and to add some variety. An extra meal can't hurt anyway, but I think I should use the tuna as my main source of protein. I also might go get another 6 lbs. of that maple granola stuff to munch on throughout the day in order to give myself more carbs.

By the by, should I stay away from carbs (HH, Granola) after 6-7 PM? Having bread is okay though, right? I know it's still carbs but... I eat my sandwiches on bread, after all.
