training for stronger legs and kick ball harder

I'm a soccer player. I'm good at it . I'm fast with lots of skills, I would say I'm on the top three of my team but my biggest problem is that can't kick the ball hard enough to score from distance , about 16 mts, I would like to know what type of training can I do to kick the hell of the ball? thank you.

Squats and deadlifts, and practice your kicks, repetition builds skill and strength is a skill.

If you want to get better at something keep doing it.

Zinergy makes some good suggestions. I'd add in leg extensions (do leg curls too so you don't get imbalances in strength). I'd use either a machine or resistance bands and I'd get you to use a ballistic or explosive style (fast). Just be careful with the knee joint.

look a lot of these soccer dudes are skinny as a rail and can kick a ball far. that my friend is genetics.. just like how a skinny fucker can throw a football 50 yards

some guys are blessed with a strong arm or leg. kickers in the NFL can kick 60 yard field goals between goal posts, and they are the smallest dudes on the field!

having said all that you can still increase your strength by building up your legs.. squats, deadlifts, lunges are a good idea

One pivotal question here - how good is your technique? I have practiced semi-professionally and professionally different sports, and I have seen that most of the times it is about the technique, rather than being big. So - perhaps you should rather focus on your technique?

I agree with @lev buterlov on this one. Technique is everything for sports.

Have you thought about hiring a kicking coach? There is a reason why Tiger woods has a swinging coach, michael jordan has a lay up coach etc.

The smallest change in your technique can make the biggest difference in how far and fast you can kick the ball.

Try filming yourself kicking some soccer balls and critique your form.

I would focus on the strength of your entire lower body and your core. Remember that your core will be engaged in a ton of movements you will be doing during the game.
