questions on carbs and protein.

Hello.

Read a few books and some of the posts on FB regarding the amount of calories/carbs/proteins I should eat. Currently i'm doing around 60%carbs/30%protein/10%fat. It works out to approximately 3000-3500 calories and I work out about 4 days a week and run 3 times a week. My goal is to gain mass and strength.

Could someone point me in the right direction with some tips or perhaps a link for more information?

Thanks!

You should put at least 1.5 grams of protien per pound. I stick with 2 on workout days. everything else should be based around that.

what are your goals?
60% carbs seems like an awful amount of carbs and 10%fat looks way too low to be healthy

Look into a 40/40/20 c/p/f split minimum though i prefer a 35/35/30 split myself

I'm hoping to improve my strength without getting sloppy fat. I've been reading that football players especially like going on high carb diets. Although there are lots of people who swear by a 2-3g/protein per KG rule of thumb.

They need the high carb diets to fuel their intense practices and games. You dont need all of those carbs for strength and mass. You should be in the gym lifting for no longer than an hour. You deffinatly need more fat to keep testosterone production at max and to keep various other functions working properly.
