No carbs on rest days?

I've recently swithced back to the caveman diet from the seefood diet. Cheese is pretty much the only processed food I eat and it really just tops the eggs and meet. Nothing excessive.

In an effort to reduce carbs, Ive implemented a no carb day on rest days. Less than 50g carbs coming only from low-glycemic veges like broccoli, green beans, etc.

Workout days I eat fresh fruits, and higher glycemic veges like corn, peas, sweet potatos, etc.

Is there anything fundamentally wrong wih this plan? Is one day too short to get full benefit of ketosis?

I workout every other day and so far I've seen a positive change in waistline. Any advice, comments, suggestions?

The Cyclical Ketogenic Diet, CKD, is a general term to describe diets such as The Anabolic Diet (by Dr. Mauro DiPasquale) and BODYOPUS (by Dan Duchaine). While there are many variants, the most common structure for a CKD is 5-6 days of strict low carbohydrate eating (less than 30 grams per day) with a 1-2 day carb-loading period (where carbohydrate intakes is roughly 60-70% of the total calories consumed). The idea behind the CKD (which will be discussed in a later article) is to force the body to burn fat during the lowcarb days, while sustaining exercise intensity by refilling muscle glycogen stores during the weekend carb-load.

So from reading that I would say yes 1 day it to short for no-carb days. You kind of doing it backwards if you work out every other day and eat high carbs on those days.

Some guy :p gave me this link which I found helpful http://www.thinkmuscle.com/articles/mcdonald/training-on-ketogenic-diet.htm

Make sure you follow the high fat recommendation on the CKD or you're toast. After adapting to the new diet you will have just as much energy as eating lots of carbs.

Yeah I found it kind of hard to stay on when your a busy person. A carb blocker might help a person stay with in range though.
