Night time treats

I have a very good diet. I keep everything inj check for the most part and have a msall variety in what i eat. I have recently gotten hives becasue all i eat after 11 are egg whites and no fat cheese.

What are some other things you guys eat before bed when your hungry? Any good ideas to cycle in so i dont get bored of the same thng over and over?

why do you not have any fat in your diet? my night time meal is natty pb, real cheeze, cold cut turkey, hard boiled eggs. not all at once, i wake up 4hrs after i go to sleep and see what sonds the best to me. i made the same mistake with fat free crap, theres better stuff out there, fat is a good thing in your diet. also get some flax seed oil, i have a few tsp of that a day great source of omega 3.

i have flaxseed oil and i eat fat. But i try to keep it minimal when i sleep, so when i wake up i can start with my fat intake in the morning till mid afternoon. Then i stop.

sbefore bed?!
some kind of solid protein (lean piece of meat, chicken, fish, a coupla whole eggs, cheese) and some kind fat source (olive/flax, yolk, cheese)...these kinds of proteins are by themselves slowly digestive, with fats they will last longer in your body preventing catabolism...in case of extreme emergency i'll drink 2scoop whey + tbsp olive/flax, but solid food is the way..

if i wake up in the middle of the night it's just a protein shake that i have...something that's easily processed by the 'dormant' digestive system

is reduced fat Jif considered a natty PB?
No. Natural PB is simply peanut butter with no added sugar, sodium, preservatives, etc. It is not reduced fat. Normally it has the peanut butter and oil separated at purchase and you have to stir it together though I've seen brands that are not separated. Look for it in the supermarket, it's probably the most expensive on the shelf.

I try to vary my nighttime meals so I don't get sick of them. They often include whey shakes, cottage cheese, real cheese, mixed nuts, lean meat, milk, mrp's, and things like that.

i used to eat eggs before bed but have recently started eating cottage cheese (a great source of casein, which is delivered much more slowly to your muscles than whey - perfect for night).

if you can't palate the cottage cheese, try adding in some peanut butter or some cinnamon and splenda.

A campbells chunky soup with a can of tuna mixed in , sure it has bout 40 grams of carbs (give or take a few) but it ends up being about a good 60 grams of protein less than 5 fat and between 500-600 calories and your extremely satisfied , better than splurgeing on other junk .

Hive could be eggs or from cheese - have you tried introducing one without the other and vice versa?
More than likely it was a mold allergy from the cheese - but eggs are a common allergen.
Give it a shot.

When I bought mine, I just emptied out the oil on top because I figured it was all nasty fat and stuff. While the PB was a little dryer and stiffer, it was still good. My question, though, is did I reduce the amount of fat and thus the calorie count for a 2 Tbsp. serving if I emptied out the oil on top, and if so, any idea by how much? Thanks in advance for your response(s).
