Hey guys and gals, its time in my bulking/cutting cycles to cut again. However, since Ive been doing these cycles I still have not found a REALLY good cutting program so I thought I'd ask all of the knowledgeable EF people for their advice/opinions. So please share any cutting workout schemes that have worked well for you or others.

If it matters, im about 1.5 weeks into the NHE diet (for those unfamiliar, its a low carb diet with 2 carb meals per week).

I wouldn't really say any particular workout is better than another for "cutting". If you diet correctly, you can lift anyway you want and it will work for cutting.

but, there are certain exercises/rep schemese that should be avoided shouldnt there? I mean, you cant train like you're trying to pack on mass because of the obvious calorie deficit. thanks for the response.

I'm currently cutting now and really the only differences I have in my workouts are I add in a drop set on the last set of all my exercises and I also throw in more isolation exercises. When I'm cutting I really don't care as much about the weight I'm using when bulking and just really try to squeeze every rep out.

by drop set, you mean a set with high reps and low weight? what is the purpose of this, have seen people do b4 but never understood why.

Drop set is when you start heavey do as many as you can, take of weight, do as many as you can, take more weight off, keep pumping them out until you burn out.

Exactly!! Like I said I only do them on my last set of my exercises to really squeeze and burn them.

When i cut I don't change my workout much. I might decrease the volume by doing a few less sets or less exercises, because I don't have the same energy. However, I still try and handle the same weight for the same amount of reps. If you want to keep the muscle you have, you should train the way you got it in the first place.

The only thing to change is your cardio, which you should increase.
