My training and diet log.

Squat

Work:
5x5 @ 97.5 kg 214 Lbs

WU:
OHP 1x10 @ bar
1x8 @ 25 kg

Work:
5x5 @ 32.5 kg 77Lbs

WU:
Deadlift
1x10 @ 55 kg
1x8 @ 75 kg

Work:
1x5 @ 100 kg 220Lbs

Made sure to raise the bar till it was behind my head on the OHP. I'm glad I set the OHP at a light start weight, gives me a chance to work on form.

Thats the most important part bro. Keep it up!
 
Diet for today:
Carbs: 31% 253g
Fats: 34% 123g
Protein: 35% 276g

Well over 200g protein.

He's out of the country at the moment Zed, I've called him and told him he should still update his log, got cut off, UK to morrocco not a great connection. I also messages him on Facebook so hopefully he'll update ASAP.
 
Just had another assessment at the gym. Great news! My blood pressure has dropped. I'm now 131/69 my resting heart rate has dropped too to 56 down from 63. Bf% is still 26% so I'm putting my fat self on the treadmill today.

Yeah lol, I try to put in lbs as well but sometimes I forget! Always nice to see your pushing 220 lbs rather than 100 kg! The numbers are just bigger! :D
 
OK, just finished a cardio session.
Treadmill 15 minutes @ 9.00 kph )5 mph I believe)
Stationary bike 15 mins @ ave 130 bpm
Skipping (rope!!) 3x3 min rounds
Heavy bag 3x3 min rounds.

So 48 mins total, not including rest intervals) and 714 cals burnt.... That's approx, myfitnesspal app gives approximate amounts of cals burnt for X amount of mins on each exercise.

They've got a nice new bag at my gym but they told me I can't kick it. Hardly surprising really, I did break the last one by kicking it… having said that I've destroyed two bags by punching them to bits, although they were on their way out anyway…

Right, I had a spare 30 mins or so and decided on a spot of cardio,

3x3 mins skipping

3x3 mins heavy bag.

So 18 mins total.

This may be a tad too much, I'm trying to drop bf cos it's been sticking at the 26-27% mark recently and I've got a fight at the end of February. I'm in the super fat boy weight class anyway, ain't no way round that, but the trimmer I am the better I'll feel (I oughta be a tad bit faster with less to move around too!)

yeah to be honest Zed, I'm feeling a little sheepish. :worried: I got him to join the site and start a log, asking for help with training him and pretty much the moment he starts he goes on hiatus!! If he weren't so big I literally would kick his ass into shape! :evil: When he gets back I'm gonna start him on day 1 of the SL 5x5 and personally oversee his squatting, literally tell him when to stop until it's sunk in.

Do you think my diet is the problem? I've stayed under 3,000 cals per day and I'm increasing my cardio, not just in volume but also intensity, although I admit I haven't been doing the MetCon recently.:xeye:
