Ms.24k's quest for 10lbs of lean muscle.

This is a very similar diet to what I'm being put through as well - it's to cut, and yes since I started off with a high bf (23%), I will say it did work. But now three months later, I am ready to climb walls and go bat sh*t crazy. So I definitely understand what you're going through...I hope you'll get assigned more food soon!

The breakout is 139g of protein, 95g of carbs, and 40g of fat....

No it's not alot of food, and yes sassy kinda like those low carb days, I just want to take a nap.

Gawd I better get more food next week, or I'm going to scream, I' suppsed to be building muscle right now. And honestly don't see the point in starving myself when I'm only competing next year. But he is telling me I need to get my bodyfat down again first.

It just seems to me that if you aren't changing up your amount of carbs and they stay at not zero level but low, eventually the deficit catches up w/ you and you start to bog down.

I hope he gets it back up -- again I've cut down to 8% on carb rotation. At least get some reasonable refeeds in there.

Thanks Sassy yes I'm thinking the same thing. there's got to be an increase cause I have no energy to do anything, let alone my workouts, so something has to change when I see him on Monday.

Bump for Miss!

How are you feeling?

What have you set your goals to do.... Are you planning on another show before next year?

Um, personally I'd just eat a friggen potato.... You have the patience & energy to wait until Monday? The guy wont' give you some sort of work around or just tellign you to suck it up & suffer?

I'm still feeling the same, I'm so tired, and today I'm even ore tired than usual because someone felt the need to call me at 1am to tell me something I already know and I was so tired but it was so hard to get back to sleep cause they upset me.

I spoke with my trainer yesterday, he's sending me to get some blood tests done, and told me to take a vit. B complex, until I see him on Monday.

Right now my goal is to keep my head above water.

I ate a potato, hmm or 2. I don't feel any better.

You're kidding me.

O well I respect your will power...

IMO u aren't on a comp schedule and your diet should support one extra potato.

If you don't plan a big show this year and your goal is to gain 10lbs muscle then why the low cals?

Im not sure of your carb rotation but you will need more carbs to build and for strength. Its possible to stay lean and build muscle but damn hard. I know how discouraging it is to have to put back on some body fat.. OMG i'm dying here but I have to come to terms that I just won't gain any muscle without sacrifice.

This is your first year competing, take it slow... You and I tend to have the same mentatlity, straight forward all out balls to the wall... Once I got my first taste i had shows lined up for months.. and then it hit me and hit me hard.. knocked me on my ass and then I realized that even pro's can't do it what made me think I could do it and survive.

to sum up all my mumbo jumbo... lol. Listen to your body. Stress upon stress has been added to you this month. Body just coming out of comp mode, sure you added a few lbs, but i am sure not much. Set a goal and take it one day at a time. If its to gain 10lbs of muscle, realize that you will have some fat gain to go along with that.

I added close to 20lbs the course of last year and when I finally got down to comp weight I don't think 10lbs of it was muscle. Keep in mind I am all year long a wise eater. I had my cheats but ate balanced and ate to fuel my workouts. Now I am back at page one trying to add even more upper body muscle.. I'll prolly add 30 lbs to my comp weight this time... Sucks, I hate even thinking about it.. LOL

Anway darlin, we just all want you safe and healthy. :rose:
