Hi.
I have torn my acl in my left knee, & badly sprained my right ankle, while doing a cardio-step-kickboxing mix class. The jury is still out on a decision wether or not I will need reconstructive surgery. Waiting for the MRI results.
Problem is: with the warmer months coming up, I have been told NO CARDIO, and NO LOWER BODY EXERCISES. even if I have the surgery, it be months before I can engage in anything even remotely strenuous.
I have been given the ok to continue with my uper body work, as long as I sit down, and don't lift too heavy.
Any advice on what to do ? how do I keep fit, and prevent fat gain, when cardio and anything lower body is on hold for now ?
PS: should I lower my daily calories also, but still keep a high protein amount ? 1 gr. per lb. of body weight right ?
