Headache during training....Why?

SkimCap

New member
Hi ,
I am 36y/old female .
5’8 tall
BF – 24.8%
Had a baby 6 month ago , getting back in to training ( stoped breast feeding now)

I have started weight training recently 4 times a week to drop BF . Not very heavy ( 12 reps) but enough to burn on the last 3,4 reps . I started to notice that once I get to the last 3 ,4 reps I get a headache at the back of my head which then travels to the top . Once I finish my set the headache eases off and disappears with in 30 sec in my rest time. Same thing happens once I start next exercise

I am not new to exercise. I did a lot of HIIT and functional training with light weights fast tempo in the past but not “muscle building technique” which is new to me – heavier and slower

I try drink about a litter before I start training . I have good breakfast ( 2 eggs , spinach and coffee 1hour prior to training) but no carbs.

Can coffee be an issue or blood pressure ?
I regularly check my blood pressure and it’s always fine.

Any idea why this is happening … ? really annoying cause I can’t concentrate or push more .

I don’t take any stimulants fat burners … ( yet ) lol

pleas help ??? thank you :qt:

xx

when you workout your heart rate and blood pressure will rise. this can lead to headaches.

i would lay off the coffee for sure as a start and I will bet that will solve your problem. or atleast space the two apart.

work on doing a better job of breathing during your set as well. ever notice guys will grunt or make weird noises when they lift? well thats a great way to get breathing going. i'm not saying to grunt your way out of a membership revoke at your gym, but work on your breathing .. i wonder if you are holding your breathe during your set

Lol … you are funny : )
thank you for your reply !

Yeah I think you are right I do hold my breath .
I am still getting use to the slow tempo and counting … now breathing …. Yikes …. Busy : )

And I will cut out coffee to see how I go.
If coffee Is my issue, does that mean that I will have similar reaction to Forged Burner ? : (
I’m planning to start it end of next week.
I did have a headache on Duromine when I took them years ago

Could also be a tension headache. Make sure you warm up properly. Do some neck rolls and what not along with light cardio to get the blood pumping before you hit the weights. Also make sure your form is good and don't jerk your neck or look from side to side during sets. I did that once and fucked my trap up. I wanted to see myself in the mirror. Go figure :) oh and I almost forgot...breaaaaaathhheeee

the way I would run forged burner (and this is the way I run it) ... is 1 cap in the morning with water and light food. by the time you workout later in the day you will be fine and it shouldn't effect your workout or sleep.

that will be plenty for your size. no reason to run it anymore than that and also you should consider EOD taking it, not ED.

if you react badly to stims then they aren't for you. stims are temporary anyway, if you want long term success as you know its gonna come down to sticking to your lifestyle..

Water is so unbelievably important as well. I went to bootcamp when I was 16 and my instructors were retired delta force officers( crazy fuckers ) any way, all they talked about is water this and water that...so yea drink up

thanks stevesmi for your advise.

yeah was going to even start with half FB once it arrives. i am a little worried : )

excuse my ignorance, what is EOD ?

^^^ yep .. EOD .. every other day. and I would even consider running it on days you know your hunger will be up, on thanksgiving the morning of when you know you will be tempted to pig out. it will make you feel full sooner.

PM me anytime you need help
